I enjoyed both your poem and the photograph you used with it. What an adorable little boy. Does anyone truly understand how we can go from night to day? Good job.

Your poems are always a delight. I'm not sure what I appreciate the most; a child's view of wonder and discovery, or the message that we should look deeper into ourselves for 'the child that is in all of us'. A VERY NICE POEM!

Such a sweet poem! Made me think of how simple life can be.
The poem flowed and connected well. The author's words were filled delight, creativity and description. The artwork is precious and compliments the theme of this poem.

This poem is quite endearing in so many ways.
Methinks you like children (or the child in ourselves) personifying your poems.
You know I read your terrific work to take a break from my macabre writings...and it's always a treat!

Dear Brooke - Cutie Pie is growing so fast, that picture shows that for sure. Great poem, loved the rhyme and smooth read/flow. How many da dums is out there anyway. Yikes. I'll stick to free verse I think, my wee brain can't grasp it.:)
Loved the depth in this one, living life passionately in all ways means you enjoy every moment of it.
Wonderful post and thanks for sharing it, brought me some smiles.

He's now over 3 feet, bless his tall self :-) His Uncle Eric is 6'2", so I'm hoping he'll be tall also. I like tall guys. LOL
Thanks so much, Maureen. Brooke :-)

Good grief, he's a bean sprout ...since I'm 5.9 without heels my man has to be tall too, or he looks like a dwarf when I put my heels on:) LOL

He was really small compared to most newborns in our family because he was a twin, but he's more than made up for his slow start :-) I just thank God every day that he is so healthy after all his mom went through to get to this place :-)

Amen to that my friend.

Hi Brooke,
What a rich treasury of memories these poems will be for Sawyer when he grows up. Loved the idea of searching for moon beams in the daylight.

Hi Brooke, a lovely poem of light stanzas. Oh, shame, he missed the moon. But hey, there are lots of dew drops to gather while the moon is having her nap. Well penned with a lovely photo. luv jada

I'm so glad I have some sixes left because this is so deserving of a 6+. Besides your wonderful command of rhyme, you present a delightful image here of one who has found a prize in the dew drops. And, of course, in my mind that image includes Sawyer.
My best to you, Brooke.
