This is very lovely. I enjoyed how well the words flowed and the background color compliments the morning glory in the photo nicely. It's also sweet how you use your son in all the photos you post :-)

I know what you mean. Ever since I had children, writing comes few and far between the days. Weekends are where I usually get to fit in my time, especially as they get older.

Near-perfect piece of sweetly rhyming and rhythmical verse, with a relaxed and pleasant feel to it.
Lovely combination of nature and whimsy rolled up in a smooth sounding, melodious poem.
The one line where I felt this dropped away a bit was 'it took little time or effort' - perhaps not as pretty-sounding as he rest...

I suppose I am spoiled. I love my Grand and Great Grand kids. And of course they all are perfect like that Sawyer. As you know, I am no poet and hardly know how to grade such but I always find your and Sawyers work very refreshing. My blessings to all the family.
