Ah,the myriad of colors that you so gloriously
paint with your artistic words, poetically set
in rhyme.
The minty green of the grass, the periwinkle sky.
the magenta of the rose, all the colors to light
up the world and cast the beauty of nature's
gift for the world to enjoy.
Well done

A beautiful write painted with colors of the flowers opening up on Easter.
A bold new day in its resurrection of blooms to delight us with the multi-colors similar to the Easter eggs we see around us. Such a bright and colorful day for everyone and so is the meaning of Easter with children dressed in Easter clothes.
Great write and well penned.
Cheerio, hugs, Ritchie. :))

Hi Brooke,

Nice 'Spring is Sprung' poem, around here the forests are suddenly green, the paddocks bursting with dandelions, and the fields have erupted with the new crops - but now we need some rain.

Nicely done, as ever.

Patrick

"periwinkle sky" - that's a delightful description, Brooke.

In fact I enjoyed all the colors in your poetic Easter bouquet.

Back in my home town, a hat show is still one of the features of Easter. Weather permitting (and weather always permits), the venue is one of the public gardens. Flowered hats amidst bright tropical blooms! The proceeds go to charity so it's a win-win situation.

Happy Easter, my friend. I hope Sawyer enjoys his chocolate eggs.

Thank you so much, Julia. Happy Easter to you too. I have not talked to Sawyer and his mommy yet today, but I know she had an egg hunt and a basket planned, so I'm sure he's had his quota of chocolate. LOL His honorary big sister, Nora, was having a sleepover last night, so she got to participate in her first ever Easter weekend and her very first basket. Lots of excitement at the Signore household :-)

    LOL

Where do the eggs come from, Brooke? Does the Easter bunny lay them?

    julia :-))

Fun colors here. I know how you feel I hardly recognize the colors in the box of crayons. My students complain all the time when they have to color the flags of the Spanish-speaking world. Blue and red are the dominant colors of the flags and someone always asks me if thus and such is blue or red.

A lovely poem to celebrate the color, wonder, and beauty of spring. Most trees here are still in the budding stage, but any day now the little tree in my backyard will be covered in white. The buds are about to burst. I wonder what the new color for white is? Picture compliments your poem nicely.

Like the sound of the p throughout the poem: periwinkle, prettify, preen, and pose. Prettify struck me as possible an invented word but alas I have discovered that it is indeed a bona fide word. You made me look it up just to be sure. I like it 'cause it is definitely not overused.

Nice read this Easter Day. Do have a wonderful day...

Perfect timing for this poem. Easter is also the start of spring and of new things to come. I'm out of hibernation. You should, or maybe you did turn this into an Easter card. Fabulous! Happy Easter! Les

Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level

This poem is truly a best piece of work describing the true picture of grass and flowers intermingled in nature, like a picture in a frame. The picture is a perfect match for the poem.
