This is an absolutely lovely picture and this poem that the author has created with this piece of writing adds to this to complete this experience. Well done.

We learned them too with a great delight. I have a sweet tooth for this type of words, but I never thought of mixing taste with color, a great idea.I was so far more of a Proust fan, with color mixed with feelings...Splendid poem!

Excellent internal rhyme of 'rose/grows', Brooke, and top alliteration in 'to prettify and preen'.

Top multi-syllable, though not too fancy words, add to the flow of this already perfectly metered and rhymed poem.

Uplifting and most enjoyable topical post.

Happy Easter, Ted

I know it is not the way to describe a poem, Brooke, but it is PRETTY. I like the way you have used these names to clarify the colours, while at the same time writing this lovely poem. I am sure it will help Sawyer and any child who is lucky enough to read this. Your choice of illustration, could not be bettered. Lovely. :) Sandra. Hope you are enjoying what is left of Easter! xsx

This is a beautiful poem. It is lyrical and mental
images of a beautiful garden full of lovely flowers.
I love the stanza most
The flowers come to congregate
and strike their brightest pose,
as they show off the finery
of brand new Easter clothes.
Thanks for sharing

a wonderful poem of the beauty we find in nature, the image of the beautiful flowers is a magical pic. I thought I could see Sawyers little head lurking behind them.

The flowers come to congregate
and strike their brightest pose,
as they show off the finery
of brand new Easter clothes.

Well done. Mary

Oh, Brooke, this was lovely, and just in time for Easter. Very much liked your metaphor or a "periwinkle sky." The picture you've chosen filled my heart with joy - how I' love to live in that garden some day, with just beauty surrounding me and no pain.

Excellent spring visuals.

Happy Easter, love, Y.
