Debbie, this is an encouraging write that answers the call that time sounds to us as we look at our life both past and future with the hope that it counted for something. Soldi b-b and so forth rhyme and measured meter. :0 GracieAnn

Lovely photo and poem about the aging process. I, too, don't want to age and your poem is well penned describing this. Nice progression, rhythm and flow. Clever use of wording, Deb

Bravo. It is funny how we take on the same subject. My poem Just finishing, takes on the same subject, and how well you have depicted your thoughts. Positive and conscientiously aired. I love the metaphor in terms of a book.
Well done,
best wishes, Rg

Dear Debbie - I found this so difficult to read with the font colour and background colour - but I enjoyed the work and thought you skillfully weaved those moments of introspection and the wisdom they provide.
Thanks for sharing it.
Maureen

Wow, Debbie, this is fabulous!!! How I WISH I still had a six available to rate this poem as it deserves! Wonderful rhyme, but even better is the inspiring message delivered in such beautiful metaphor...

EXCEPTIONAL! ********************

Hi Debbie,
a truly wonderfully constructed set of metaphorical quatrains that leads a revealing trail to a best-seller... one with substance... the depth of the story between the lines and the wisdom gained through heavy toil.

This is a story for all times my dear friend... one that needs to be told, then read with an open heart... write on!

With our thoughts we create,
the meaning of life,
James xx

Our entire life makes up our personality and who we are. Some things in our past we have learned from, many things we have not. I enjoyed reading your poem.

This was great, Debbie! I really enjoyed reading it. I loved the way it was set up and the photo you put with it. It's so encouraging to think of your life as a book still being written.

My last chapters are unfinished
As once were the ones before
Much is left to be written
About this day and many more

Nicely done, Debbie. And congratulations on the publication in Page & Spine. I wish you many more years of inspiration and writing.

Hugs,
Lois

My cover may be getting worn
But not yet ready for the shelf
Within my sheets there is wisdom
There's more to this volume of self

These final stanzas are a real inspiration! I have to bookmark this wonderful piece to read when I need a dose of anti-hopelessness. Thanks for writing it! And here's a hug. {{{{Debbie}}}}
