Extra-good chapter, Snod. Interesting the effects the fairy-folk had on Oz. The interchange between the cab driver and Ess was priceless. I laughed out loud in these two places:
"Your dad, eh? Bloody good job you got your looks from your mum then."
"Yeah, all right, but I mean it about him puking. The first sign and you're both in the gutter."

Thanks, glad you liked it. The fairies of old were known for putting people to sleep and enchanting them. That's where we get the term 'stroke' from. OK it's just occurred to me that Oz is going to have to explain that, should he ever wake up.

You mean "stroke" as in a cerebrovascular medical problem? I wouldn't mind the sleep/enchantment treatment, but I'll pass on the "stroke". Poor Oz.

Ha, an interesting and entertaining chapter. Very well written. The dialogue is perfect ... quick read, the mark of an accomplished author. One minor detail - correct the spelling of the word "for" in your Author's Notes section.

Poor Ess. Oz is a hand full when he's lucid, but carrying him around sounds like a monumental task.
I loved your cabbie's attitude. It actually reminds me of the real London cabbies. LOL!
I'm just reading for sheer pleasure, and to learn how you do it so well. I loved it, snod. Now wake him up. I enjoy his rough humor.
Have a nice holiday and a Happy Easter!

Thanks. Yes, he can't sleep too long. Ess has her swanky party to go to

That's right. And she hasn't even bought a dress yet, has she?

Brilliant description of the whole "pilgrimage" she makes carrying Oz like a cross. You have a keen eye for details and that pays off really well in the whole image of the story. Great chapter!
Chauff still comatose?

Thanks. I hadn't thought of the religious imagery. I'm not sure Es would approve.
