You did make an excellent definition of poetry in all shades and dimensions focusing on what poetry does to us as poets.ts and readers. I like best the following lines," It just depends on the person, reading and writing to determine what poetry means to them- the flower or the stem.." Love these lines.....

and some can be a metered show.
This line made me lurch, and pause: some poetry can be a free flow,
I didn't find any major SPAGS to nit-pick.

Good use of the aabb rhyme scheme. Good end rhyming. Good alliteration with make/many...maybe/make...can/cry...wonder/why...free/flow. Good eye catching photo followed by a clear message.

Very nice. This poem describes the way I feel about poetry too. I love to read it, but hate to post or review it. I'm always worried that someone is going to kick literary sand in my face like the bully on the beach in the old Atlas advertisements.

Poetry is a little like that, Its never set in concrete as to what people are going to write about, or even style, such is the versatility!
