Hello. These picutres! Who is Miranda--your daughter in law?
Great idea with the ducks. They do just trust. It is worth remembering. I figure i will look at mallards with a new eye. Does that include the feathered pests, those dang Canada Geese:-)

It took them a long time and lots of medical intervention to get pregnant, so yeah, when he finally arrived, she was good and ready to love him to pieces :-)

Duck philosophy. This is true nature can teach us humans a thing or two about trusting our instincts. I wish God had made us a little less complicated, that way we wouldn't have to think about being hurt and just get on with life. Wish I was a duck.

Yes indeed, if it floats like a duck, waddles like a duck, flaps it's beak like a duck and gives advice like some smart alec quacker...then by all accounts it's a darn duck! LOL
Cute, enchanting and free of worry, just like the subject matter. On that, I'm so confident now that pond will hold me...I'm just gonna head out to test your little duck theory. I hope it holds water mate...as opposed to me who plans to float on it and darn tootin, like a duck! LMAO
Well writ as always...master stroke, Brookers!
Cheers P

Hello brooke,

Trust is the key issue in life. I have a huge problem with worry and anxiety and struggle each day with it. We could learn so much from watching nature. It`s funny how when we enter this world we are such trusting souls and then life hits us full force and the trust dwindles. Thanks so much for sharing...blessings.

Oh, if only it truly was so simple.
Trust is something we must do everyday just to exist in our
modern world and sadly it seems that often that same buoyancy
Is sadly lacking.
This is a thoughtful and positive suggestion I may well ponder as I watch the ducks on the dam tomorrow.
Thanks for aiming for a positive message very well written and rhymed.

Lovely poem Brooke. I often think that ducks teach us lessons. They are a good meditation when I watch them on the lake, cool and calm above and paddling like mad below. Your rhyme is perfect and the words beautiful.Lovely picture of Sawyer.

Another great and memorable poem. I think about printing this off and handing it to my husband who constantly worries. The style was wonderful and gave it a natural rhythm. The imagery of the ducks happily swimming along helped send the message home. Great job.

Brooke, you are just toooooo clever. I don't know how
you come up with all these different ideas for poems.
I love the message here. Sometimes we do worry too
much and let it rule our lives.
