This poem is very well written with words of wisdom. Unfortunately, there are so many who lack wisdom and are too ignorant to distinguish false assumptions from the truth.

to distinguish
without doubt
all that is false,
and the wisdom
to never
reject
truth

Hi Pili,

An excellent poem with profound philosophical thought. Didactic in nature but you have avoided any 'preachy' overtones by using the first person singular.

The rhythm and flow are smooth and well crafted and the layout refreshing and very easy to read.

"Its" instead of "It's". You make the same mistake I do on this, Pili. I was always told to put an apostrophe on 'its' when it is possessive but I get pulled up ever time. I read a recent article by a FanStorian that says as a general rule of thumb, an apostrophe is a shortening tool.

It's = it is
there's = there is etc..

Lovely work, Pili.

This is very good, Pili. A prayer and meditation of the best kind.
"Let my soul
arrive
to shores
of calmness,
and be able
to develop
through
meditation,
the clarity
to distinguish
without doubt
all that is false,
and the wisdom
to never
reject
truth."

I love this stanza.

You have such a gift for putting the right words together. It never
ceases to amaze me. Your metaphors bring images to the fore front
of the mind. It's a beautiful talent.

Hi Pili...

"the clarity
to distinguish
without doubt
all that is false,"

The mind wont accept what it doesnt want to see, but I like your look at removing the clouds from awareness andbeing able to focus. You use the words in the poem in your own enigmatic style, which I find very appealing.

Nice poem condensing some basic truth, Pili.

in all it's splendor, (its)

with it's light. (its)

*** It's is not a possessive, it is a contraction of 'it is'. *** :)

Very cool poem Pili. A spot for you--the 'it's' used is 'it is' and I'm sure you mean the other form 'its': 'with it's/its light.'

Love the meaning for souls here:

'the clarity
to distinguish
without doubt
all that is false,
and the wisdom
to never
reject
truth.'

A beautiful prayer of one
who, it would seem, has
already received the gifts
she is praying for. Indeed,
we are all in need of
clarity
to distinguish
without doubt
all that is false,
and the wisdom
to never
reject
truth.

Another very worthwhile
day of work for you, Pili!

What a beautiful expression of desire......The wisdom to never reject truth....It hit me as I read that...even in my own life.....I have KNOWN the truth yet still rejected it.....But it doesn't change the fact that it's the truth....Thanks for sharing a very thought provoking piece....RHonda
