Other people and the relating to them, is our first reality whether we like it or not, even though it is said that God made us guardians of his universe. And in a short sighted way, we relate through a screen of memories and self projections. How close do we get to each other. Now just what was Robert Frost's road less traveled? We are told that we need to find our own salvation and we seek out truths and understanding, all over the place but the only peace that passes understanding comes from supreme awareness and the truths we desire to understand can only be tested in our relationships. Our erudite writer presents us with a plethora of concepts which at best can only be provisional truths. If they usefully work for us we can call them truths until something else supersedes them. I won't pretend to say that I have fathomed everything that is written here but I feel sure that it can all be presented more simply. With respect. -Ekim777

-Really important, powerful statement here.
Evil is "live" spelled backwards.
-I'm not sure where you were going with this statement. It feels out of place and disjointed from the rest of the paragraph. I would suggest eliminating it.
Overall a seemingly well-constructed philosophical piece. Thank you for sharing.

The reason for juxtaposing live and evil was to induce a change in attitude. "Attitude" is used here as "direction", and if we recognize evil, we have to change direction. In Vietnam, as the captain's phone talker, direction was the only meaning it had - as in:
"Helmsman, what's our attitude?"
"275 degrees north, sir!"

I enjoyed the concept of the writing piece although I found it a little confusing. I personally read it twice in order to appreciate the point the author was making. It definitely gives the reader something to think about.

Stunningly perfect, thought-provoking piece of writing. The author's notes say it all "short thoughts- big message". That's putting it mildly! This eloquent writing excerpt manages to tackle some of the most integral issues that humanity encounters daily! It does so in a concise, interesting, and informative manner. The writer peppers in a quote from Robert Frost in the fourth paragraph to illustrate how many individuals choose to follow the crowd as opposed to forging their own path through their thinking. This is a very astute observation and unfortunately also very true. The fact that the writer chose to incorporate mentions of studies such as GUT enhances this writing piece's validity tenfold. I find it ironic that the study's acronym spells the word gut since that's how a lot of people tend to make decisions at times using terms such as "gut feeling" when referring to how they reached a decision. I also loved the acronym for "Grand Operating Design or GOD". This acronym is perfectly suited and reveals so much in the three simple letters that speak volumes more. The line "If we look for the kindred spirit in someone else's eyes, we will recognize it". I definitely believe this to be true since I feel the eyes are the portals to the human soul. They reveal all that we try to hide. I could go on for pages extolling the virtues of this brilliantly written piece of literature, but I won't. I feel the writer has stated the facts of how society makes decisions and recognizes similarities between kindred souls quite concisely and in an all encompassing manner. The tone used in this piece is one of informative nature, yet the writer comes across as personable and doesn't talk down to the reader through this piece. This writing piece does as any excellent piece of nonfiction should do. It provides the reader with well thought out opinions backed by evidence, informs the reader, and stays focused on the topic at hand. Exquisitely crafted piece of writing deserving nothing short of six stars!

Nice piece of Self Improvement Non Fiction.
Its starting with cognition and recognition is very interesting, but soon it becomes too much philosophical and scientific. Consequently, its smooth flow gets obstructed.
Wording is impressive and perfectly matching the theme having lively imagery.
The most striking lines are:
"Truth can be discovered within ourselves, but too few take the "road less traveled."
"If we truly want to live and rid ourselves of evil, we have to change our attitude."

Its starting with cognition and recognition is very interesting, but soon it becomes too much philosophical and scientific. Consequently, its smooth flow gets obstructed.
Wording is impressive and perfectly matching the theme having lively imagery.

I like this essay. It is beautifully written. It is filled with philosophical ideas that the writer feels in his own mind. First, he discusses the difference of the human being from each other. The concept is well discussed. But then, I think, another subject came, a subject that I suppose is familiar with, the theory of Relativity expounded by the Jewish born Scientist Einstein. I found the subject a little hard to comprehend. I think, really, the essay is great but in my mind, the article or essay can be written separately. It would, to my mind, be two separate articles that would stand alone in their own merits. My personal view. Dom

I call them reference points, but commonality is a good word too. Sadly, the more reference points an individual has, the fewer commonalities they find in others.
You are so right, that for many growth stops at a certain age, or arrival at a place of comfort, but too few take the road less traveled, because frankly it's scary wandering where so few others go.
Yes we do make prejudiced and biased judgements based on physical looks and one platitude, the eyes are the windows to the soul is confirmation of such prejudice. Eyes can be very deceptive, not only in what they appear to reveal to others about that person, but also what they see around them. It is in fact the brain that sees, not the eyes. We see what we expect to see or want to see and what we see is also influenced by contextual surroundings.
I'm very interested to see if GUT/GOD results in positive spiritual growth for humankind.

When God comes into the equation, from my own experience (NDE) I have come to know my own truth. recognised my god-self (for want of a title.) My Soul. The god that appears to rule humanity is controlling, once again, from my NDE.
