Hi K...

~ This was absolutely a stunning poem, said with so few words but great impact..

~ The graphics with the lone tear on the child gave it an even more powerful impact...

this is lovely and very touching. the fact that you combined the child and the angel's tears is heartwarming. Words selective and well put together.

very good naani with a proper syllable count and the presentation of two contrasting images .children's joy and their sorrow -both are indefinable.

Words mean so much when arranged correctly to best describe a situation. These messages are priceless; they evoke emotions we all feel and that's what poetry does so well. Good job. I wish you well in this contest.

kiwi, this Naani Poetry contest entry fulfills the elements of the contest with proper line and syllable count. Yes, children can bring either laughter or tears. Well done. All the best in the contest! :0 GracieAnn

I know nothing about naani poetry and the instructions are fairly vague, but I thought I would have a go anyway.

You are so unbelievably clever Steve. There's nothing new in that but in your Naani, your first two lines are the simplest of paradoxes, perhaps even oxymorons. "put into words the indefinable" and in writing this, you put into words the very thing that you say you cannot do. You could have chosen any number of beautiful things that would fit the bill but what you did choose, was wonderful Steve. I hope your poem receives the recognition it so richly deserves. xx Carol

I know nothing about naani and the instructions and definitions are themselves rather blurred. I think the word 'indefinable' came to mind as I was contemplating the form!
Again, I doubt whether this will do well, but I have other fish to fry...

Ii didn't worry about the form because I just didn't care. Hopefully, others who aren't form crazy will appreciate your poem the way that I did. xx

Lovely naani which tells all. Just love the comparison between "children's joy" and "an angel's tears." Clever wording, Deb

What a sweet Naani poem you have here, Steve. It is the epitome of innocence and purity, so little difference between the joy of young children and the indefinable angels teens, Giddy
