I may sound like a broken record but you re really a master of rhymed verses, no one can beat you in this respect. And Sawyer, as always is a happy source of inspiration. I like too, this poem. God bless.

I feel like he looks after this week. LOL. This was a great emotional poem that makes everything bad seem less serious with the mention of the support of a friend. Great images to show strife and the fixes of a friend. Great job.

Brooke,

Ok, I just want to hug him, and make it all better! What a picture! He looks so sad and forlorn. Somehow he manages to look even cuter than he normally does. LOL

Judging by your poem, you feel the same way. :) This is a sweet write conveying that we always want to make things better for our friends.

Fave line ... "If trees reach out to snatch your kite". :)

Connie, thanks so much. In reality, he was just very very tired from an afternoon of playing at Nora's and then having to make a long ride home :-) Brooke

    Hi Brooke,

Amazing, isn't it, how young childrens' faces readily express everything they are feeling? That's what I love about kids. They are so open and honest. :)

    Wishing you a wonderful day!

Oh Brooke, this was just precious and I enjoyed reading it so much. You have a wonderful way with words, and I really like this poetry form. I am finally able to write again after three years, so couldn't wait to come back to post. I can't be here long, but will return to review and post again when I can. I miss all of you so much, but have noticed that many have left. The new poets have been wonderful, and I'm so pleased that they enjoyed my post. I really didn't know what to expect, lol. When I come back, I'll be sure to read you again. . .Sharon

It feels great to be back, just wish they didn't make it so hard to get money to post again. It takes many hours for me to review enough. I always look for your beautiful poetry that I can't wait to read! Wow, I just noticed those stars, so very sweet of you!!!

Oh what a friend you would be to this little guy and others. Your concern for his happiness is evident with sincere concern for his well being. One lucky little guy. God Bless Terrie

What a sweet and loving poem. I just spent the day with three of my best friends and know the comfort and joy of having good friends that you can depend on. Great poem for Sawyer and the rest of us as well.
Blessings

Hopefully we all have experienced the joy of knowing what it means to have a real friend'nothing I won't try to do /to keep a frown away from you'. Flows freely to the conclusion.

I love this friendly little poem. It reminds me of the the Randy Newman song "You've Got a Friend in Me."

I found the shorter lines reiterating the idea of friendship effective.

Excellent!

Cheers,
DW

I love it. I love it. It is cute and very amusing. No matter what, "you are my friend." Well written with the the picture of a kid depicting the friendly theme of the poem. Carefully measured, with eight beats (I suppose) and and 4 beats intermingling, I find it very colorful. Its creative style,
makes me smile. Brooke, my sincere congratulations. I had been in dispose for a while and thank God, I am now back to my feet. I hope you are fine. Dom
