Heartwarming... If only we could extend this feeling to every creature on earth, we would re-create the Garden of Eden... Great job! ...John

What a totally delightful poem, Brooke! The sentiments are beautiful and heart-warming, and the versification is utterly blemish-free. Perfect!

Nicely said, a friend is there no matter the danger, problem or threat. I this modified form. It doesn't look easy to maintain with the continuous matching endings. Well done.

Hello Brooke,
Lovely piece of poetry beautifully depicting the quality of a sincere friend - A friend in need is a friend indeed!
Simple as well as impressive wording.
Smooth and pleasant flow throughout the poem.
Nice rhyming scheme with lively imagery.
"There's nothing I won't try to do
to keep a frown away from you.
On this you always can depend --
You have a friend."
Excellent!

The kind of friend you described in your poem is the kind of friend everybody want to have in their life. Someone who will truly love you and put your friend's needs first before your needs. Two thumbs up, Brooke! c", Mae

Hi Brooke, this is a lovely poem with such lovely chosen words to express the friendship strongly felt. Just as it should be felt. The photo of sawyer is a brilliant one. (is that his blankie?)

Well done. Mary

Mary, thanks so much :-) It is like a blankie - it's called a lovey, which is a small-sized blankie that has an animal head attached to the end. He has more than a dozen of them, like a dog lovey, a monkey lovey... Brooke

Brooke, this has such an interesting meter. I liked the way it lilted and waned. The a-b-a-b-c-d-c-d and so forth rhyme flowed well. Sweet write. :0 GracieAnn

hello. Will you be my friend when my ice cream melts and hits the ground? I am such a child at heart that this poem made me go...ah, yes, that's it.
Cute, but very sad and happy all at once.

Such wonderfu lyrics to create a wonderful song. The poem flows so perfectly that I believe that it deserves to be sung. So cheerful and uplifting.

This is such a sweet and precious poem with a sweet and precious picture. This reminds me of a song my mom used to sing to me about how she would fix the things in my life if they went wrong....lol, can't remember the title! Love this, such a nice message.
