So they haven't been able to trust any other groups, why suddenly trust someone who says their canadians? I think that's a trap. Someone is testing them to see how sensitive their powers are. Why else would they suddenly be drawn to the camp for nothing?

I think this story defines the word conundrum perfectly, my friend. It really is a riddle wrapped in a mystery, or is it the other way around.

Mikey, this is a good added twist and makes the plot more interesting. If there is a consortium like Christine, then maybe they can overcome the bogus messages by their own power. One small typo: change "here" to "her" in this line, "I want to ask here about some details" :0 GracieAnn

Could be American terrorists, but I wouldn't bet the farm that US president or gov. official couldn't be in on such a thing, figuring out a way to get a controllable world for the UN to "take care of."

Good work again. Sorry I have not been on your stuff for a while trying to get back to my own as you know. You did say you weren't going anywhere so that was comforting to know.

Some good new stuff here. I'm glad they finally contacted someone real in Canada, someone they can trust. Whoever is tricking them wants them dead, of course.

AT this stage it seems everyone outside of their group should be viewed as an enemy. It is hard to trust anyone. This is very well written and makes for good reading.

From your title and your photo, I thought that you were going to make Canada the enemy. If you did, I would have come to the conclusion that this story pushed you off the deep end. China/Iran and our own brand of home grown whackos make much more sense.

My mind just dwells on simple, basic, day to day things - I am so in awe of the creativity of those like you, Mikey, who can delve so much further!
"What's up grandpa, I'm not young enough for you?" :) :)

-behind-the-ears, recent, soldier-school graduates(?)
and they ran to fetch(,) (b)ut that still didn't tell us what
( But), it wasn't long before she .. try not to start a sentence with 'but' - this line would read just fine without it
Carlos look(ed) pleased as we turned to leave
