Dear Brooke: this is a delightful work with a topic I often think about in that somewhat complex area where the six stars are found...ready to be used to celebrate a great work....just like this one. I'll be doing all I can to migrate this special six into the right location to celebrate this poem and hopefully deal with any pending or proposed "destructive" actions. Great work and thanks, Vance

This is a nectar sweet quatrain which conveys your positive outlook on life.Seeds of joy are all around us if only we take the trouble to observe them. You couldn't have found a more appropriate photograph.

I've always admired the poets who can just create poetry with amazing descriptions AND make it rhyme simultaneously. Great job for making it come alive!

Nice parallel between the nectar the bee seeks and the "sweet" moments that can be found in everyday life.
I especially liked the metaphor of "fragrant gold" for the nectar.

Another perfect little piece. It is fun to copy and paste this in word and TRY to find even one word that would improve it! It does show me the care you take with each choice. I see how a word like "fragrant" plays off of all the other words so perfectly and how any number of words that fit, don't quite fit as well. So, I end up with a free lesson and praises for you!! Wonderful as always. mikey

Your love for the simpler things in life never cease to amaze. Nor does your talent to show that expression of joy and love. You chose something that most people wouldn't think twice about and when you write about it, as a reader, I say, huh, I never looked at it that way, wow. Spectacular writing as per usual. Great job with your choice of words and with your rhyming quatrains. :)

Hello Brooke,
I completely enjoyed this thoughtful offering. I related to the theme of time spent in the pursuit of daily survival. Years ago, my wife and I, lived on a small gold mining claim. Everyday had it's "chores" that must be completed for existence. It was hard work, but a very rewarding experience. I also appreciated your closing thought of taking the joy of life where it may be found...beautifully done. Solid rhyme and meter made for an excellent read, well done. Best wishes, Bill

A lovely poem with lyrical lines in honour of the humble bumble bee. They are truly magical insects. Your rhymes were super and it had a lovely flow. Lovely illustration and enjoyable read. Faye
