The life of a bumble bee is not very romantic, but you did a very good job of making it so. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words.

Beautiful photo, beautiful words. "Wherever seeds of joy are sown".. love that phrase. They're all around if we take time to look. That's the beauty of childhood... kids have the time to really look, with fresh eyes, and see the world for the wonder that it is. :)

Wonderful, happy, sweet poem. It's worth to check in from time to time, just to read some of your work. Great job as always. All the best - Darla

Another lovely poem for readers of all ages, Brooke.
I think children are often afraid of bumble bees until they learn what they do, and you clarify their "job" very well here. I especially like this line: "I'd harvest drops of fragrant gold/contained in every flower."
The last stanza is a wonderful lesson for us older readers who often look back on our lives to see what we have sown.

This is absolutely superb! And a nice break from the dark and depressing subject I've been writing. I love the entire poem and enjoyed its uplifting tone. I especially like the last verse:

But since I'm not a bumble bee,
I'll gather in the sweetness
wherever seeds of joy are sown
in fields of life's completeness...

We all should take notice of this and apply it to our own lives. Thanks for putting a big smile on my face.

What a nice poem about sweetness of honey and bumblebees. Yum!

But since I'm not a bumble bee,
I'll gather in the sweetness
wherever seeds of joy are sown
in fields of life's completeness. Love this!
Great alliteration in Perfumed Pools, and wherever seeds are sown. Well done. Nancy

Thank you so very much, Michael. I wrote the first two stanzas rather quickly and then nearly ruined my blood pressure for a couple of hours trying to come up with stanza three. LOL Your sixth star makes it all worth while :-) Brooke

LOL You with blood pressure are better than the rest of us on a good day!

Isn't that a carpenter bee?
I guess important, is not name.

Drills a hole into wood
Plants an insect its babies love the brain.

Gotta get that honey ,
please...

Great write...
