Your picture reflects beautifully the contents of the poem, with a harmonious light blue background..

The writing is a declaration of faith in the form of an eloquent Rispetto.

May your journeys be fruitful. Without disappointment.

:) mel.

Beautifully written rispetto, and a lovely poetic proclamation of faith. Pretty impressive showing for your first time, I would think.

Your composition was very strong, and your presentation superbly done.

Good work!

Thank you, Dean. I am just playing around with the new types of form poetry I'm learning about. I've always liked writing poetry, but had no idea there were so many formal structures out there.
I appreciate your gracious comments and encouragement. Thanks, Debi

You are welcome, Debi, and I know the feeling. I had never really written poetry until I came to FanStory, only prose. I believe poetry helps you to become a better writer overall, more rounded. A better "story teller", if you will.

Yes. I remember the parable well, and you did a very good job of telling it in your own poetic version. I enjoyed the poem very much. Tony

You put this just perfectly! Enough information to get it, but not too obvious. That made the revelation when it hit me so uplifting. I like to expand on stories of the Bible like you have here. You tell a little story about the lost soul, a kind of background to further amplify the meaning. This really made the story come alive. Well done, mikey

Oh, dear Debi,

How you've made the beautiful parable come to life so personally in this lovely poetic form.

You lifted my spirits and made them soar!

Hallelujah!

This is a lovely first Rispetto - very well done and made more understandable by your author notes - you were the lost sheep that Jesus left the other 99 in order to find you. Very good. Regards Dorothy

The rhyme and meter on your rispetto is very good. This is a great message to all the lost sheep. Very enjoyable read.

w.j., this is a powerful Rispetto that is well done and would seem by its quality that it is not the first one that you have written. Very good first try. :0 GracieAnn

What a great story. Thanks for the notes, although I would have figured out the analogy anyway. This makes me think of the times we take the wrong road in our journey and the happiness of finding the way back.

Thank you for the great comments. I'm sure you would have figured it out. I didn't put notes originally, but a couple of people asked so I added them. I appreciate the insights about finding the road back.

Good use of the abab and the aabb rhyme scheme. Good end rhyming. Good perfect rhyming with be/me...so/go. Good alliteration with called/come...no/near...ninety/nine. Good complimentary photo followed by a clear message.
