Wonderful poem with a message that most folks, myself included, probably need to hear. We do avoid the weird ones, don't we? Until we get to know someone, we do assume waaayyy too much from appearance. :)

Good use of the abcb rhyme scheme. Good end rhyming. Good alliteration with was/wrong...seems/stretch...starts/smile...that/they...freed/from...try/to. Good rhythm and flow. Good complimentary photo followed by a clear message.

This is such a fun poem. I can picture the speaker with a stern look on her face and a scolding tone in her voice offering the wise advice. You should be nicer to people, and be a friend too. Wonderful story to make the reader smile.

And fun it is. This so well written tells the story masterfully. Loved the sad humour and indeed, the picture. Underlying the humour, is message too - accept people for who they are, not for how they look. I work with Special Olympics in Perth, and meet some lovely people who have to face cruel world every day. Thank you for an entertaining poem.

Yeah, it was a bit of fun. Funny thing is, I work in homecare and I actually have called the paramedics to get people out of the bath more than once, plus a few situations I probably wouldn't have believed if I hadn't seen them. I might even know this lady. She really is the milkmans, and she was dropped on purpose, not by accident. Poor thing. LOL just kidding about that! Love the picture.
