A wonderful poem the expresses the meaning and effect of jealousy. Perfecy rhyme and nicely worded. It has great meaning for me as it was my jealousy that lost me the most wonderful girl I ever met - many years ago.

Thank you so very much, Pete! What a lovely review and what lovely stars! I write some poems and have no idea where they come from, and worry about putting them on here in case people think they are stupid or even worse, rubbish. But I have been amazed at how many reviewers have had to deal with jealousy in one form or another. So sad. I am sorry you had to deal with it, the regret must be awful. I hope you are happy now, though. :) xsx Sandra

Yes very sad, I'm finding out right now what jealousy can do. It's an ugly thing, I've felt it myself many times. I hope I didn't do anything evil because of it though. Well done. rox

I am sure you couldn't do ANYTHING evil, Rox, you can't change the person you are. :) Thank you for the lovely review. xsx Sandra

Pretty powerful write on jealousy you put a lot into this write here like you actually know 'jealousy' like this and I honestly don't see that in you at all. If I had a 6 it would be yours...you slipped away from your boundaries here and succeeded very well on an unknown side of the fence.

I don't remember ever being jealous in such a way...and I could not have written about it like you have...stand and take a bow - Dinah

LOL, No, I haven't felt jealousy, sometimes I write things and honestly don't know where they've come from. Certainly not from 'this' me. Perhaps I have been here before. Some of your writing is like that. I think you have been here as an Indian Chief, an Eagle... Our poetry must come from somewhere??? But, thank you so much for your wonderful review, Dinah. I'm bowing!! LOL xsx Sandra

You tell this tale beautifully with
strong rhyme and flow.
Jealousy can cause nothing but
heartache and you convey this
them well here.

Wow this is beautiful, sad, haunting and wonderful all at once. Jealousy is INDEED a hard thing to overcome, especially when you feel so passionate about something, or someone...speaking of that, SOMEONE is getting a good bit of what for here but you've done it so eloquently in expression. Sometimes writes come from nowhere and we just have to go with it. You did WELL here. Terrific poem with a residual effect...and in excellent iambics. Bravo! Tell the muse she/he is a champion.
Cheers P

This happens all the time. I'd do the same thing if I could, I will admit. When a guy leaves a woman for another, of course she's going to want to get revenge and make sure he is not happy. Yes, it IS "wrong" but even good people will do hurtful things to those that have hurt them. Turning the other cheek is easy to say... HARD to do.

Great poem, Sandra. Gives us all a lot to think about.

Gosh, Phyllis, thank you so much for the lovely review and wonderful shiny 6 stars! You are the best!! I have no idea what made me write this one, it's certainly not through personal experience. LOL, But, I have had a friend go through something like this, and it was horrible to watch. People can be so cruel. Thanks again, lovely lady! xsx Sandra

Sandra, this is definitely different from what you
usually do. It does tell a sad story thought of
what jealousy can do. It can destroy lives. Great job.

Good use of the aabb rhyme scheme. Good end rhyming. Good alliteration with did/disgrace...scourges/soul...to/take...her/heart...went/without/word...whispers/wind...how/he/heard. Good rhythm and flow. Good complimentary photo followed by a clear message.

You know Sandra, jealousy is such a relationship breaker. I was never jealous of either of my 2 wives. It is a very wasted devious and evil emotion. I figure that if someone else could woo them away, then there was nothing that meant anything to them. With a pat on their butts and bidding them adieu, I walked away. Neither could understand why I could do that. It was easy because if and I mean if they loved me, no one could have come between us.

Your poem pose questions to the one who caused the break-up. Will she continue denying the lie. Who would know. We humans tend to hide or continue lying. Excellent piece of poetry that you composed very well. Love you my friend,,,,,,,,Jim xxx

Hi Jim, lovely to see you. Thank you so much for this lovely review. I can quite understand what you are saying, and it is a wise man who can understand and take it that way. Your two ex wives really didn't know what a wonderful man they walked away from. Take care my very dear friend. xsx Lots of love Sandra

You've written a great poem, Sandra, on an emotion that can be so damaging. Where it cam from? Your writer's soul.
