How many times in life do we do just the opposite and RUN away from joy.
I do hope that I have officially give up that odious habit and that I NEVER pick it up again, At this sunset time of life, JOY is all I am willing to indulge.

That is so awesome. He's like a baby brother and she's like a big sister. God is so good. God loves you and so do I.

She tells anyone who will listen that he's her little brother - they go somewhere like a park together and she introduces him that way. I'm sure there are lots of folks in California who think they are actually siblings. LOL
One day Miranda didn't know some Hebrew songs to sing with Nora. When Nora asked her why she didn't know the songs, Miranda explained that she is not Jewish. Nora was dumbfounded. She replied to Miranda, "But you're in my family and everyone in my family is Jewish."

This is touching and suspenseful too after reading the notes. I sure hope that they are not to be parted soon. This is a happy child for sure.This Is one of my favorites from you. I still like Mr. Sawyer poems too!

Another simple truth imparted in this little piece. Too many run away from joy because of an underlying 'underserving' agenda, so joy is too uncomfortable (to sustain for long). It can FEEL like a "mistake".

Very nice flow to this thought provoking poem. How often do we deny ourselves in life the very thing that will bring us joy? And to what end? Peer pressure, social standing or political correctness? One good thing about the later years of life. It gives me freedom to do what makes me happy! Thanks for this poem. A pleasure to read.
