This is really good except you rewrote the ending in the last stanza. He didn't get to eat the three little pigs in my recollection. LOL! They ran to the next house until they reached the brick house and the wolf couldn't blow that one in. Still it is oustanding. I wish you well in the contest. This is a good entry! Nancy

Trust me, Nancy, my version is very much closer to the original than the watered down, all live happily after version that has been created so as not to frighten children.

In the good old days they wanted to frighten children and teach them a good moral lesson. Same with Little Red, whose grandmother was gobbled up and never rescued in earlier versions.

We have just finished off the last of a pork roast cooked in the weekend - hard to beat smothered in gravy and apple sauce - maybe that's what inspired me.

What a really clever acrostic poem you have written.l it has a popular nursery rhyme theme as it's source, but cleverly manipulated into a very worthy piece of writing! Is brilliantly written, great descriptive language, and even meter and sound rhyme scheme. Blessings, Roy.

So good! Reminds me of Roald Dahl's Revolting Rhymes, an all-time favourite. 'Architecting' brought a smile to the face! ...as did "The wolf meanwhile was bloody starving".
