Very pretty imagery in your poem. On a few rare occasions I've had the great joy to see a Luna Moth on the screen door at my lake house and that sighting has never failed to amaze me. Your poem is a wonderful reminder of that memory. What you write is so true - miracles and amazing sights are all around us if only we slow down and really look. Lovely poem.

you ALWAYS manage to pair pic and poem so beautifully Brooke! and always give us just a little philosophical 'dig' at the end - only you could make an ABC poem interesting! :)Sharyn

Truly Brooke, I'm always left in a sense of awed appreciation,
by the limitless boundaries within the creativeness of your mind. The revelations of how God the creator reveals himself to you is in itself an extraordinary glimpse of God from a different perspective.
Blessings

Luna (il)luminates the sky,
Mariposa flutters by.
No one knows what there might be,
overhead, a mystery --
till they lift their eyes to see.
A very bold and wonderful write in this format for Sawyer. What a cool kid he is gonna grow up to be. Awesome Brooke.

You prove with every piece that there is no reason to ever stop seeing through the eyes of a child. I can't imagine why anyone would stop. So lovely. I hope everyone gets that "This means YOU reader!" Wonderful piece. No sixes, well you know the story... mikey

Thank you so very much, Linda :-) When I was visiting, we went out to one of those chain restaurants that had a skylight in the ceiling. Sawyer got all animated and starting shouting, Moon, Moon because he could see the moon through the roof :-) You would think he had discovered gold :-) Brooke

This is, once again, a very nice poem. I'd love it just for the fact that you managed to get the word mariposa in there! I just love that word! I also like the contemplative feel the poem has. What can we do but imagine until we see? And will the reality be sweeter than the dream? The temptation to look is just too strong, but often we are rewarded. I really like the picture as well, it gives off that same contemplative feeling. Good work! :)

A lovely ABC poem and well composed. Mariposa I know means butterfly and also a plant, but as it is fluttering I assume it is a butterfly in this case. A lovely read. Regards Dorothy Oh just spied your author notes - yours is a butterfly

Thank you, Dorothy - I also think its being in the sky makes butterfly the more logical choice :-) Brooke

Debbie, thanks so much. I am enjoying today since Monday snow is predicted. LOL :-) Brooke

Monday will be a good day to stay home and write! Are you able to stay caught up? Between all of the site maintenance and our rather unpredictable local internet, I am hopelessly behind. I am considering just drawing the line today and moving forward~Debbie

the only reason I'm close to caught up is because I only posted a poem every few days last week and I think I received fewer reviews than normal because so many others were locked out too - the glitches have gotten everyone down
