Another very cute Whitney! It is pretty amazing what we can do with only 26 letters! My favorite lines are "Too many are hard to herd" and "an extra would be absurd".

This is another cute picture of Sawyer. Is Sawyer two-years-old going on three now? My grandnephew, whose name is Sawyer also, will soon be a year old. I'm sorry to say, I've only seen pictures of him. My niece posted a picture of him looking at a book without pictures, only words, the other day. He's as big as his two-year-old cousin.
This is a delightful poem, Brooke.

Sawyer is 22 months - he'll be two in May. I'm glad to hear your grandnephew also loves books :-) Thanks for your review, April :-) Brooke

Before you know it, Sawyer will be reader. For now, he appears to just be learning the shapes and names.
Too many
are hard to herd. --well said.
A whole new world will open up for him when he learns how to form words and sentences on paper.

Spitfire, thank you so much :-) I'm going to give him a pass on reading at least until he turns two. LOL :-) Brooke

I enjoyed this very much. I have a hard enough time with 26 letters without adding any more. Now you'll have to do one about punctuation...especially commas..lol Delightful and fun poem. Precious photo of Sawyer too.

Aside from being tired, I am doing pretty good. Linda is spending a few days with me to make sure I fallow the doctor's orders...as if I wouldn't!!!

You just keep being a good patient!

adewpearl,
Your theme was quite amusing. The flow was very nice. Your descriptive words were very good for explaining your ideas and your feelings. They were very comprehensible.
There was nothing wrong that I could tell.
I look forward to seeing you again.
Love you,
Oatmeal

He has such a deep expression on his face, which match your words to a "T." How very cute he is, Brooke, and who know he may take after his, "Nana." I enjoyed it very much. Blessings

It's funny, thinking of it,that all the words we have in English are made up with only twenty six letters - much more with Chinese I'm told. It would be actually superfluous to have more English letters. This is a well written poem that reminds us of that. Thanks for the thought. Emeka

Emeka, thanks so much - I have no idea how they teach little Chinese children to read and write with all their characters. Brooke

Hi Brooke,
a delightful whitney, but whimsical? I'm thinking it all just makes perfect sense... I have a hard enough time corralling the letters we have now without introducing anymore... so an extra would be absurd for sure. Loved the lyrical tones throughout this poem, it melded together beautifully.

I think I have finally read enough of these little gems of yours to have a little influence sink in. I try to keep the phrase "little perfection" in my mind and attempt to say something just right. It truly is difficult. It is so much easier to overwhelm with a deluge. I love this. It seems so very simple, but it says something so true and in such a fun and memorable way. It ain't easy. I have a thousand misses in Word that I stare at everyday!! mikey

As usual Brooke, your provocative style of imagination translated to verse is in itself endless, unique and thought provoking on many levels. Again your selected artwork goes hand in hand with your poem.
Thank you.
