Brooke, what a wonderful whitney. You are so clever.
I don't know how you always think of so many
different poems. Of course, I know Sawyer helps with
inspiration.

Enjoyable read Brooke. Nice how you go from me to you to us in the first stanza. The picture you joined fits the poem very well.
Kind regards

Great idea to have all the letters in Sawyer's playroom to familiarise him with them, Brooke.
Also, I like the fun feel of your words that would make Learning for him a pleasure rather than a chore.
Now, what's the first letter again? Oh yes ...'z'. Darnit, I have my reminder alphabet back to front again. ;-)
Have a great weekend, Ted.

Ted, thank you :-) A happy weekend to you, too. You should get yourself a set of foam letters. Sawyer tells me they're hours of fun :-) Brooke
Comment from Righteous Riter
This piece meets the criteria of the Whimsical Whitney poem as the syllable count is count and this piece has the correct number of lines. Good end rhyming. Good alliteration with hard/herd. Good rhythm and flow. Good complimentary photo followed by a clear message.

your writing about the alphabet and letters growing to words and coupling together with the picture you have chosen ties it together, I like the humour touch too, great work as usual

Thank you for reviewing, mushroom - since a four means "needs improvement" and your comments are so positive, please advise on what part of the poem you want improved. Brooke

This was a great poem I loved "hard to herd "it was great alliteration , and it was such a clever idea using the alphabet as a subject , considering how important those letters are to us all , I loved the photo , well done thank you

I don't know, Brooke--everytime I try to write rhyming
poetry I wish there were a few more vowels. Same goes
for doing crossword puzzles. dqrlkzx spells something, right?
Love the line about too many letters being
hard to herd. I'm not sure it's really a pun, but I herd it that way.
It is hard to believe that all the idea and thoughts in the world can be arranged in 26 letters--even numbers.
Peace, Lee

Lee, thank you :-) You might be onto something there - maybe if we added a few more letters, we'd find things like the missing cure for cancer in the new words :-) Brooke
