This is a delightful poem about our English alphabet. I find spelling already hard enough, I wouldn't want extra letters. I would give it a 6 but I'm fresh out of 6 stars.

Hmmm, I've missed your poetry. ;)
The funny thing that many people don't realize is how fluid language is. The letters may stay the same, and God only knows we don't need anymore letters, but the creation of new words, or meanings of old words. I've run into some of that lately, I had to look up what the "new" meaning was. An interesting study for sure.
Anyhow, good to see you're still at it! :)

And I'm glad to see you back! Any chance I'm going to be reading a novel by you? Thanks so much for the review :-) Brooke

Not yet on the novel, mostly I needed "human" contact, sort of, and this is a good place for that. ;)

well, I'll settle for that until you post again :-)

Thanks so much, Lakeport. He can sing the alphabet song and tell you a word for each letter. M is for Mama. G is for Grandma. :-) Brooke

Good thinking. The right measure of anything is easier to control and almost invariably all we need. Another point poetically expressed to great effect with child's play as an example. Excellent illustration! Enrique

Very nice. A cute little poem to go with the cute little boy in the picture. My, oh my! How he is growing! Love his expression... and his jamies! Today is my youngest grandson's first birthday and am off shortly to attend his party. What precious privileges we grans enjoy! Big hugs,

sweetwoodjax, thank you so much :-) He sure loves words so far. He is so much more advanced in his speech than my kids were at his age, and I suspect than almost all kids are. Brooke

What fun, and how true. (Of course, with a photo like that, you could have submitted a recipe, and we all would find it delightful!)Love the way you took such a complex subject and made it charmingly simple.

Seeing the picture makes me think that playroom isn't that neat all the time, LOL. Not much I can say here. From what little I know of poetry, this is just perfect. About all I can say is that I like it.

Nor, thanks so much. Nope, the playroom is cleaned up every night, but during the day it is a sight to behold with a sprawl of toys all over the darned place :-) Brooke

Good Morning, Brooke
What a delightful double Whitney for Sawyer. Having studied other languages with multiple variations of letters in the alphabet, I certainly agree with the last line of the poem!
Well done, my friend

Ray, thanks so much :-) yeah, I have enough to keep me busy with this alphabet - some other languages look quite daunting :-) Brooke
