With a grandma like his and all the poems he'll have to refer to; with a mom and dad like his, who are giving him every opportunity to be all he can be, poor child is doomed to be a wonderful success. LOL!
What fabulous new room (and such a totally wonderful poem to come out of your love of this child - again!) (*BIG GRIN & BIG HUG to pass along too, okay?)

Excellent, and you are correct. we have more than enough words to write music, computer codes, and share great works of poetry with the world. You can even see the imagination growing his eyes. great work.

an extra would be absurd.
LOL! I agree, Sawyer. In fact, I don't think we need Q when we have KW to do the job. This is clever and cute like all your Sawyer poems. Love the decor in his room! :)

Benjamin Franklin
"Give me 26 lead soldiers and I will conquer the world."
-- Benjamin Franklin, Wit and Wisdom from Poor Richard's Almanack
Sawyer may yet do it! Good one!

I think this poem would be a wonderful way to simplify for a young reader/writer our alphabet. Why just 26 letters? Why not more or less? And I like how you convey the fact that "countless thoughts . . . grow to words."
Nicely done, Brooke.

Very sweet thought - as a baby he is taking simple letters and when he is old enough - he turns them into words. Very whimsical your phrase: Too many are hard to herd....
Just for kicks, make up some additional letters and convince Sawyer they actually exist. His personal alphabet!
Lovely. AT=/

Isn't it amazing what we can do with just 26 letters?
I'm sure Sawyer already knows his alphabet.
A delightful double Whitney and a darling picture
of Sawyer. Can he get any cuter. Every picture is a gem! Nancy

Nancy, yes, he knows the alphabet and he knows words that go with letters like G for Grandma :-) Miranda lost count of words he knows and can use appropriately at about 1000. Now he is learning Spanish words like mariposa and luna from his new Hispanic nanny :-) He's also doing a good job with speaking in sentences, though he doesn't get all the syntax right yet :-) Brooke

it's only a matter of time before he's writing poems! :)

I can't wait :-) He was chatting up a storm with me on the phone tonight.
