Yes, Twenty six letters do seem to be all we need, they can
mushroom onto more words than we can count and I know his mother is teaching him the letters, if she hasn't already. Looks like a awesome playroom. Sweet picture of Sawyer. Nancy

A lovely whimsical poem for Sawyer. I almost think there are a few of those 26 letters we could do without.A clever write, my friend. Have a great evening,~Debbie

Whimsical for sure.
'Tis true that too many letters just become downright
confusing.
A thoughtful and down to earth subject choice which is
easy to relate to.
Very well written in the format of a Whitney poem.
Letters make up so much of our daily communication that one
surely does need a sound start to understanding them.

This work has reached the exceptional level

It really is amazing how we all share the same alphabet and yet with the words we create, so many different styles and voices are born. Great thought piece. You manage to do so damned much with twenty six. Another great poem.

This reads sweetly off the page, so the rhyme and meter work. The premise for poem is inventive and effective. The idea that enough is the right number is great, perhaps going beyond letters to areas such as wealth, food we eat, and praise. Nice work!

I enjoyed your Whitney - haven't seen you write one for a while. This little boy must have everything that opens and closes - the alphabet is very important to all of us - I did enjoyed your whimsical take on your letters and my letters and an extra one would be absurd. I just wish some folks would respect the English language by using capital letters where appropriate and the one that really annoys me is sheer laziness - a lower case 'i' beginning a sentence or used in a sentence that calls for a capital. Well done, most enjoyable Mrs Spotcheck.

Bastardization of the precious English language is a thorn in our sides - no wonder our children speak a language that we don't understand!

I like your whimsical whitney poem. Great children's poem with references to alphabet and reading. It flows smoothly from start to finish. 8-)

As a retired early childhood teacher I appreciate the basic concept of early language development. you are on target in message with a sweet easy flow.

this was so cute and whimsical it was fun to read. It fit the style of a whitney very well (if I remember correctly!). this was my favorite:
Countless thoughts
are ours to share
as our letters grow to words.
