What a cute poem you have written! Loved your presentation, the words flowed well, and had good rhyme, and rhythm , and good imagery. Angel Blessings

This is an awesome poem. Loved the rhymes and the overall message. It felt too like a children's poem. Short and sweet with a catchy sound when read aloud. Little Sawyer looks like King of his castle here! What a charmer!!
Thanks for sharing this with me, Brooke! Have a great weekend.

Hi Brooke,

I'm inclined to agree that twenty-six letters are sufficient, but the Kyrillic users would probably disagree, and the Germans and Scandinavians add accents and Umlauts ...

And what magic you weave with those 26 letters Brooke! This is very clever and the picture is a perfect fit; such a lovely room for Sawyer to learn how to put those letters together, with a little help from the seven dwarfs on the shelf I'm tipping! :) Enjoyed this one Brooke, thankyou. Regards, Jan

Thanks so very much, Jan :-) Yesterday when he was looking out that window he started pointing excitedly to the sky, shouting Luna, Luna. His mother, never having heard him say that word before, asked him what it meant. The moon! he answered. Obviously, his new Hispanic nanny and he have been enjoying Spanish lessons :-) Brooke

This is such a cute and flowing piece that celebrates that magical time in life where another munchkin is learning the alphabet. Such a cute picture!

Cute poem, and cute play room too :)I especially like "as our letters grow to words." That's just what happens when a little one learns how these sounds work. And, yes, twenty six is plenty :)Anita

This is a very capricious, chimerical and comical Whitney which took a lot of creativity, ingenious and inventiveness to be able to compose this as it is. Thank you so much for sharing and posting this poem for everyone and may you always find peace wherever you go. I just would like to know why 26?

Alex, thanks so much - why 26, that sure isn't an answer I have :-) Brooke

Brooke, You are so sincerely welcome and 26 is a half a deck of playing cards.

Absolutely. Besides if I had to learn more than twenty six, I might not be able to handle it. I would get all confused. Twenty six is just the right number. You have written another delightful poem Brooke. Kudos.

Yes, twenty six letters will get it done.
Countless thoughts are ours to share
as our letters grow to words.
What we have is all we need
an extra would be absurd.
Well done and smartly penned. :-) Carolyn

Hah, yeah, can you imagine, oh ... let's say the government, (just for arguments sake), mandating that an extra letter be added to our alphabet? Good grief, why, it would be chaos! Most of our words would become archaic, obsolete, especially if it were a new vowel. Have mercy & stop the presses!

Anyway, I really liked this one, Brooke. As usual, you style and word choices shine!
