I don't know how you keep track of all the characters and happenings, I would make more mistakes than that, and I never noticed. I was thinking of donkeys and elves!!!!I liked your colloquial dialogue-it was informative and sharp. This was a good chapter, I have a feeling though that something a bit untoward is about to happen at this camp. Too plain sailing otherwise!! Enjoyable read. Faye

It's funny, but my stories are about the only organized place in my life. I am usually completely unorganized!! I like the hillbillies and have known some. They talk just like that. But, they are smart as whips and nothing like they are depicted on tv. Thank you kindly, mikey

Could the dreams be some kind of government mind control experiment gone awry? Still hard to tell if the country folks are really joking about cannibalism or not. Gov. mentioned it a lot, but not a lot of it in the story. Lots of possibilities with this, but as you said, gonna be hard to wrap it up too quickly, unless you do a JR/Bobby Ewing/Dallas TV show thing. : )

Oh, nope. Typo. Good catch. But, the dialogue is trying to capture their accent. These are hillbillys. Should be fun. I'd think they're probably pretty clever being able to live off the land and all that.

Yeah well along with the rest of the hillbilly lingo are was probably spot on. Like from the Canadians "Anyhoo" hehe f9o0r anyhow Sigh! Always know when it is a Canadian actor on the movies as soon as they say "Aboot" for 'abowt" (w" for emphasis) then I know.

Well, I'm glad they didn't get eaten. I would imagine in such a calamity people of sanity would seek out one another to reorganize a form of civilization. We are communal animals. It will be interesting to follow how this merge will turn out.

I scrolled down and realized I am out of original story. Hahaha. I'm winging it as usual. Have you ever read a book on how to write a novel? It seems like so much work. Story boards, outlines, character outlines... More fun to just go crazy and make it up off the top of my head. mikey
