Cute photo Brooke, and a nice, fun lune poem. Brunch sorted and a cuddle with the cat, sounds like a nice day. Good luck in the contest

valda.

You got me curious, so I looked around all over and found no mention of punctuation and I did on other short forms. Perfect little piece. Things that go together and the hope that it extends a bit further. A little daydreaming feel to it as though the looking at the cat triggers the feeling and gives you a little hope. Very wistful and nice. I consulted with my cat and the word is that any cat under 18lbs is a sissy. mikey

Thank you so much, mikey, for the review and the laugh. We don't tolerate sissies in our family. :-) Brooke

Excellent photo and a nice name for the cat. You used an original theme for your Lune poem. I liked the fried eggs and bacon best. Best wishes for the contest.

Hi, Brooke,
This is an excellent lune meeting all of the contest requirements for the form. It has excellent figurative language and imagery (fried eggs and bacon) almost breakfast time. Good flow and rhyme. Good luck in the contest.
Preston :-)

This poem speaks of the joy we can find sometimes in the simplicity of relaxing with a friend or pet and a nice breakfast with over easy eggs and some bacon. I'm off to the kitchen.

What a fun one this is, Brooke. I think the Lunes are just for fun, without many rules. Miranda did herself proud with this photo. And what a cute name for a cat: Potato. Love, Jeanie

Excellent lune format and syllable count. That cat looks so comfortable as he takes a nap on her mistress's lap. I like the word choice and the rhyming of "laps" and "perhaps." Good luck in the contest!

Your lune features three of my favorite things. I'm not sure the connection between eggs, bacon and a kitty in my lap except all are very comforting.

seaglass, thank you. The idea is that eggs and bacon go together in a positive way, cats and laps go together in a positive way, both leading up to the romantic question - how about you and me as such a pair? Brooke

Thanks, I misses the romantic connection, I've been married too long I guess, LOL

Fried eggs and bacon go perfectly together. Your clever lune with a cat's perspective, teases asking if cats go with laps does your lap go with him. Satisfying and amusing read.

I just tried a nonet poem, think I spelled that right. Now I must try a Lune. I'll just keep reading your until I get it right. Right? Smile. Is that your lap?
