When they are two, you learn very quickly to pick your battles. This was a fun and enjoyable tale about the little tyrant. The picture is hysterical to say the least. I liked the rhythm and the imagery, especially the flinging food at the cat. It's always the innocents that suffer. Great stuff.

Love this! This is hilarious and I can totally recall my two year old and the battles that the parent could not win. For me it was not a food battle but mostly the sleep battle.

Haha, that was a light and fun poem that I can definitely relate to because I've tried my hand at being stern with a 2 year old on many occasions :p. I really like the flow of this poem, sounds like it could definitely be an old nursery rhyme that has been quoted for years. Nice job!

You do such a great job writing poems that match your photos. I can see the "moniker of kings" in his eyes and whole facial expression. I like how the poem leads you to expect one outcome, and then has the humorous twist at the end with the child winning out. --Alanna
