You surely shoved Julia out into center stage but Ari couldn't recognize her so that opens lots of opportunities. I'll be Brad doesn't get a shot at him until Julia has her turn.

Oh Freddie, a sixer! Lookee there! Grins.

Man, this one is going just like all the others. You think you've got the story, and whoa, it's just about to finish, and boom like that, we're off again. Whole new deal. Think Secret Lives, lol.

Thanks so much for the love and support over the years, my dear playmate of the sawdust pile,

    Hugs,
    Gayle

I'm dictating this, so you know what that means. Let me know if you get something you don't understand. Can't believe I've missed so much, but once I get behind...

Past that no more, but just -- I didn't understand "past that no more" and didn't know what he was referring to. Is he referring to the wine?
If so, use "pass that no more"

acerbic -- not sure you can use it if you mean his bone structure is sharp, although it will work for the expression on his face. My dictionary says:1. Sour or bitter tasting; acid.

2. Sharp or biting, as in character or expression: "At times, the playwright allows an acerbic tone to pierce through otherwise arid or flowery prose" (Alvin Klein).

As I read, I'm living in fear the site will go down again and I'll lose all this.

He hated Hali from the bottom of his twisted soul-- here we are in Hamid's POV, and while he may indeed have a twisted soul, he doesn't think of himself that way.
chili's relenno -- According to Wikipedia, it's Chile relleno. For plural, likely Chile rellenos. I think I have seen it on menus as chili, but rellenos is definitely the spelling for the last part.

Got a good manhunt (or womanhunt) thing going with these villains.

Man! I thought so, too, but my program hated the relleno, insisted on relenno, I Binged it, and they went with relenno. I'm going to Las Casuela's online menu and check it out. ;)

Man the power outages, it's like Russian roulette with the posting. Stay safe and thanks, Norma,

Chile Rellenos Our chile rellenos are truly unique. Our very light, fluffy chile rellenos are made daily with seedless and stemmed mild green Ortega chiles. Served with our very own ranchero sauce. See! I knew that. Bing be damned! Thanks!

In Spanish, as you may or may not know, double l is often (and I thought always) pronounced like "Y" - ReYano. One day, Jo and I were in our favorite Mexican restaurant, and I pronounced it that way, but she said no and pronounced it 'raylenno'. I should have known! I've had 2 years high-school Spanish back when you had to chisel things on rocks. She said five years Spanish, part of it in college. But, being my usual self-assured self, I asked the Mexican waiter. In this case, the double L is not pronounced like a Y.

We got some rain, but not the thunderstorms (at least I didn't hear any) and no outages. Nothing today. The storm split when it reached the Mojave, as they often do, half staying to the north, the other half hitting southern California.

Re-A-no is how we say it here in PS. Funny thing about Spanish, they're as likely to mix into Splanglish, like we say Santa Ana, but the Mexicans slur it together - Santana. I like it that way, lol. Santana - I mentioned it to Freddie, and when the Mexicans were talking - In Bowie at the Alamo - he'd do it that way, too. You can always count on an authentic ethnic restaurant to know how to spell their food!

Many languages, including Spanish and German, roll the R sound. I had a Mexican friend tried to teach me to say burrito properly, but my tongue just doesn't work that way. When she said it, it sounded like there were at least four Rs in the thing.

Did you see the PM I sent you about Ted? He really ticked me off, and so I sent him a polite explanation of how I review. I'm certain he won't like it, and of course I closed by saying "something I said must've offended you" and gave him a mini apology. The older he gets, the greater his ego.

I know Rex won't let anything happen to Julia. I really like this story and can't wait to see how it plays out. Brad is so sweet....

Oh, Barb, a sixer! Thank you so much! Oh, I think Rex is more than a challenge for Ari, but I'm worried about Edward.

You are so appreciated, my friend, can't wait for your next book,

    Hugs,

So far, Julia's new features are working and with Rex as back up, she is safe. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a very good read.

Well remember, shell, she's got on hazelicious gold hued contacts on. Like most Saudi's she has black eyes.

But I agree. When I'd heard his voice, I'da probably shrieked! This gal's got a brass spine, wait until you see. Maybe not when she was solo, but between Rex and Brad, she's growin' a pair. Just don't want her to overestimate herself! Any problem to the Hali/Julia switch? You knew, right?

    Thanks,

I hope that Ari did not notice the shock of seeing him reflect in Julia's face. If he did that would have been a dead giveaway. Julia's brother now is another kettle of fish to be careful about.
I enjoyed this chapter as much as I did the others.
Cheers
Sylvia

Hey Sylvia, looks like he skated right past that one. Of course, as you'll see, at most he'll think she's some tourist mistaking him for a terrorist. Which, of course, is exactly what he is - to her.

Any problem switching Julia/Hali back and forth or did I make her strong enough that you knew exactly who I meant?

    Hugs and big thanks,
    Gayle
