This is a fun romp through a wanna be a Fanstorian's early day journal entries. The picture adds to the 'excitement' of the narrator and very tongue in cheek and clever and I enjoyed very much this entertaining little read tonight - Dinah

This is funny for fanstorians, for sure. Good satirical style and voicing. An entertaining (and subtly educational) read.

One formatting typo:

*
and am now monitoring the contest.Named the cat 'Lucky'.

Add space after period.

One spag suggestion:

(later in the same day)

use capital L in Later.

You'll find very few use the rating scale honestly, but there are still some who sincerely appreciate both the honesty and the feedback. People have many different motives for being here and the majority seem to think it is a social site meant to boost egos. Still, the minority who are here for exchanging honest critique and improving as writers are enthusiastic enough to make it worthwhile continuing.

Thanks for sharing your 'journal' satire!

Warmly, rd

I guess I'm one who thinks the rating system is greatly over rated. I try to hear what the person is saying first and foremost. After all stories and people are far more important that spag any day. I see nothing wrong with using this site for connecting with people which is probably the goal of all writing and other expression found in art. Thanks for reading and commenting, Dennis

Ah yes, like I said, the majority see it that way. It's not what the site was set up for, nor how it used to be (when I joined) but it is what it has turned into. Nothing wrong with people connecting and sharing...not at all. But that is called a social networking site--not a serious writing site. It's simply a matter of differences in motive for joining here.

Spag is NOT the only aspect of critique.

Writing is both an art and a craft. The art part is the heart. The craft part is what some members came to improve in here.

    Blessings, rd
