Hah ha, wonderfully done, as usual, Brooke!
It is fun to watch our kids and grandkids at play while they're young. You can't help but be entertained. You wanna know what's even more fun than that? Jumping right in next to 'em and play right along side them. Talk about making you feel young at heart!
Well done, poet...

Wow. That just nails it straight up. You remind me of my recent visit to my brothers place in Melbourne, AU. I got to play with my nephew there for the first time. This captures it.

Excellent photo as always, Miranda must always carry her camera. I can understand why you always ponder about what he sees. A nice little poem.

Interesting and thought-provoking as to how our children see the world 'pondering/ what you see'- especially in this 'crazy' world we live in LOL

Ah, we all know what he sees when he peek-a-boos you, Grandma.
But I love the term 'madness of merriment'--so descriptive, and insightful. A kid's imagination seems to me like a kaleidoscope that never stops turning.
Good stuff, Brooke.
Peace, Lee

A well thought out poem with excellent rhymes. Peek-a-boo is such a fun game for a child to play, and you brought out the fun in this sweet poem.

Hi, Brooke,
This an excellent free style poem that poses an excellent question. What does any one see (not just children) when they look at me. Is it how I want to be seen? Excellent alliteration with madness /merriment. Good flow and structure.

Brooke, you are right, this is light and fluffy and a cute piece of fun. The tripping meter and the strong rhymes make it roll easily off the tongue.
Peekaboo eyes is perfect.
