Excellent story and well gone in its conversion from poetry to prose. Towards the beginning, when Reggie hears Tommy shouting for Timmy, you never mention the type of creature they are. Wouldn't it he better for the reader to know. I knew because I've been reading your stories.
Does that make sense? Just a suggestion.

Your suggestion was quite right, John, sometimes I forget there are loads of people who haven't heard of my little friends. I have gone and put in their whole names, not only in the beginning, but in several places throughout the story. I thank you so much for that and I'm really pleased you enjoyed this one too. :) Sandra xsx

Well! Silly, silly Tommy I have always believed in Elves and I am way above average intelligence - in my dreams that is. Just loved this read this morning...absolutely spot-on. I would give a 6 to you but I have given them all out and I do not regret a one of them, I regret I don't have one for you...sooooooo!!!!!!!!.....a virtual 10 is yours because it is so worthy of more than a 6...Dinahxxx

The characterisation of Timmy and Tommy contrasting with the more macho Reggie, who then comes rather unstuck, is amusing as well as realistic. These little creatures really do mirror the children they are intended to entertain.
