Hey Boat, this chapter seems to move the story along at a nice pace.
Especially the tension surrounding Julia's plight. It seems as the story unfolds, she gets more confident to meet the challenges.
Rex adds a nice touch to the whole thing. Nothing like a dog to set people straight.
The planned scheme at the end really makes me want to turn the page.
Good chapter all the way around, Boat.

Hey Jack! How rows the boat, lol. So good to see you again.
This dog is a bit different than the others, in that he's got an agenda, or so it would seem. As the story progresses, you'll see what I mean. Did Rex's pov distract you?
Thanks a bunch, see ya soon,
Gayle

Good attention grabbing introduction that raises my curiosity from the start. Good dialogue between the characters as the character balance is good. Good transition between the events. Nice and steady pace that intensifies as the chapter goes on. Good conclusion filled with plotting and surety.

Such fine words, RR, and I thank you for them. We're only about half way home - much more to come. Hope to see you again,

That's a very nice specimen of a Dobe. The dog is already very alert and is beside his lady within seconds. Poor Julia is beside herself. Her very anxiety is what will give her away if she comes face to face with Ari.
The excitement is contagious.
Cheers

Hey Shel, a burqua or hijab is the head scarf that Arab Muslim women use to cover their faces. Their robes are called abaya and they're always a dull black, at least usually.
Thanks for the comments and review,
