I liked the imagery in this poem, as I could see the waves rolling as I was reading, this poem flows along flawlessly in its cadence. I enjoyed reading this poetic message line on the sea... John

Wow, I'm so vividly recalled to crashing waves in Maine and the tranquil cool Pacific in just this little peace. I find it fortunate when the seas suit my mood.
Great job in this. Does your page really say poet of the year for all of those years? Wow, again, that's amazing to me. You are richly blessed in talent, that's a marvelous thing. :) Carrie

This was a wonderful insightful contemplation of the the sea and all the forces that it holds. I liked these lines the best as it made me feel warm and happy:
"But I have also known the days
when raging waves receded
as sun shone down its loving gaze
and life was unimpeded."
Well done, Brooke.

Wow! This is really beautiful! I love the way it reads and the wording... just beautiful! You have a way of writing that feel whimsical and magical, yet so deep. I know that may sound corny but it's the way it feels to me. The picture and the poem compliment each other so well. You did a really beautiful job. Probably one of my favorites that I have read of yours. It's exactly what poetry should be!

Brooke,
What a beautiful write this is! Full of hope! I love how all of your poems (and this one is no exception) have such a logical conclusion.
This write aptly conveys to the reader that tomorrow is another day, and that if today isn't great, better days are on the way.
Excellent rhyme and flow. Just a 'make you feel good' type of a write, knowing that, yes, we all experience some bad days, but good days will come ... so, chin up!

Hi, Brooke,
"I,ve Seen Those Days" is superior verse whose rhyme and rhythm to which I resonate. It meets the contest requirement of an ABAB rhyme scheme followed consistently with very good rhyme. It has excellent figurative language and imagery (sea raged and drowned the shores in sorrow). Good luck in the contest.

Hi Brooke,
It's mighty gracious of you to accept storming seas, knowing better days will come, considering all you've been through with Mother Nature. Well done.
Hugs,
Lou
