Excellent photo of this sad looking man that complements your rhyming poem ever so well. He used to love but she is gone. For him life brings only cruelty.

there's power in them there words... lingering tones and the perfect visual gave real impact with what you were saying.
I think it wouldn't have mattered if you changed the he for a she and it would have worked just as well... and it's a sad reality to life... life is cruel to some... but pain and suffering are inevitable, misery is optional.
A beautifully written poem my friend, filled with emotion and an extremely insightful look into the world of depression.

The is a significant poem touching on some people who perceive indifferently the life they are into. There is something lacking that needs attention and correction,
but the man tries to hide. He struggles by himself alone, and finds life cruel. And he paints a picture that is negative. The truth of the matter is, perhaps, the attitude, a reverse thinking. It is better to think of the bright side of things to make life more pleasant, wonderful, and rewarding.

You are right of course the best way to live is thinking on the bright side. This is easier said than done, in many situations. Why do we have so many suicides, patients in hospitals for the severely depressed. Because we are all individuals with different genes, different upbringing,etc. Thankfully there is a lot more help today.

This is a very thought-provoking post from the author in this piece of writing. Its sad to think that there are times when we lose someone we love so dearly. We all know this feeling because this is part of life but some people can't live with the pain and feel the urge to end it all. This is very sad indeed.
