Wonderful poem. Nice set up well delivered. I liked the picture that went with it. Got nothing to complain about.

Interesting that I just read a poem by Poetic Visionary with the very same theme. I love to see how differently poets can interpret the same theme/feeling/mood. Here, I like that the format is of metric and rhyming quatrains. Seem like the windows of the mind received some Windex so that now we're all able to see through them to enjoy this lovely poem.

Hi J.P. It was Poetic Visionary who inspired my poem! LOL I am a BIG fan of her writing snd consider her a wonderful friend too! Love your referral to using Windex on the windows of the mind. Who knew it would be so easy to re-connect with your muse again? You mentioned you enjoyed seeing how differant poets interpret the same circumstance, I Posted a poem on here a long time ago called, Ten Poets On a Mountain. It was to show how each poet would see and describe things differantly, when they were all in the same place. Thanks SO much for the wonderful review and thoughts! :o) Helvi

Hi there Nancy
I am struck with the fact that we all need to look at our muse in a different light. For me it is almost always the artwork that inspires me. I see that in this lovely piece. It is reflective of how it inspired your poetic heart to move and write. I love it and you. Have a wonderful weekend

Well, you certainly didn't run dry with this poem, Helvi. I loved thois poem and wish I had six stars left to give you. It deserves at least that many. It's so good to see your work again.
"When weary windows of my mind
Have nothing to express
I'm vanquished from the very world
That words so often blessed"
The stanza above is so well written...like a pro. Blessings, my friend. Bob

Your lovely poem deserves a six, but, alas, I am all out of them. I am sure every poet/writer has found him/herself in your predicament at one time or another. With out a whispered thought,or theme the page remains vacant.

Such a nice poem Helvi2
Love how you wrote about how it feels when you are a poet and as you said - someon help me
Create the magic you possess
And let the sweet threads flow
Upon a page that is bare white
And needs a bit of glow

Hi Gert,
I think we all know this feeling well! Jewell inspired me to write the poem and it just took off. So glad you enjoyed it.

That is such a strong poem. Second stanza is my favourite, and then "Please tickle me with lovely thoughts".
You've just tickled me with lovely lines.
Very well penned, Helvi. It was a pleasure stopping by!
P.S: Oh yes, nothing worse than finding oneself in that void, when you don't know what to write, what to think. When thoughts jumble up and all of a sudden we drift into vacuum. It's frustrating.
Now I think I know what you meant by "A poet without inspiration", though I hope the well deserved reviews will motivate you just well enough. ;)
Keep writing!

Inspiration is a beautiful thing, my friend, and you honor it and the process well in this one. Nicely handled meter, too, with only one suggestion from me:
Upon a page that is bare white (Upon a page that's bare and white...or barren white)

Oh My Gosh! What a lovely compliment! Thank you SO much David! I I am deeply honored by your kind words. I'm a tone deaf poet and for you to find just a tiny glitch in my work makes my heart smile. Appreciate your help on getting my meter back on track!

Beautiful picture for sure. This is a dandy poem and very well-written. i never review on poetic style as I am not a poet and my ignorance would soon show. God loves you and so do I.
