I am very much enjoying the story. It has the right amount of drama and romance for me and keeps me engaged. You have a wonderful ending, Gayle. I am impressed, Gayle

We're not finished yet, Gayle. In fact, we're just about to really get started!

Ari's in Los Angeles. He's hunting for Julia. Edward is hunting for him. Who'll find whom first!

    Hugs and thanks,

A great mix of action and romance, Gayle. I, especially, enjoyed the story from Rex's perspective as he gets to stay with the 'gods' LOL. Another great chapter, but I have a feeling the peace is about to end with that phone call!

Hugs, Bev

    Hey Bev,

Yeah, buckle up, we're about to take a ride. I'm hoping it's as bumpy and curvy as possible. I know I'll be reediting this one!

I'm so glad you liked the dog pov. At first I had a tendency to 'put words in their mouth' but as I got better at this, I figured, well, they don't talk either, so I might as well just have them think.

Yep, like I say, phone calls never bode well in novels, lol!

Big hugs and thanks, my friend,

    Hugs,

This was a good chapter. It showed not only Rex bonding with his gods, but also Julia and Brad did some bonding of their own. Getting Rex, and working with him, was an experience that was just theirs. They are starting their own history. Nice.

I noticed some missing commas.

"I believe you[,] and if I have anything to do about it, I'll be there, too.'

Sit, down, go, stay[,] and watch. If 'stay and watch' were one command, and not two separate ones, then you wouldn't need the comma.

"Rudy called Rex to heel, stroked his head lightly[,] and turned to Brad."

"Because of you, I'm not afraid anymore[,]and I don't feel like parts of me are missing."

Excellent chapter, very well written, and the best part - it had a dog in it. :o)

Isn't he handsome? And they all seem to have that expression, almost intense, and I guess it is to them. They watch your expressions - I swear that's why they smile so much.

You're right about those commas and I'll get the little buggers in there! Keep me honest, sister, 'cause the commas are my 'pet sin' as it were. Too many, too few!

    You're a peach,

    Hugs,
    Gayle

Hi Gayle :)

I'll soon be out of "Sixers" for you, but the chapter deserves it.

Great dog stuff, I know nothing about, but the bonding sequences clicked right along.

There's a hint of tension in the air because your readers know Julia is a target and Edward has made a move to end the threat at great risk.

Good work.

Ted

OMG, another sixer! Ted, my friend, thank you so much. I love writing about the dogs and all, so it's very comfortable for me.

Wait until you see what I do to Ari! Or Edward does, lol. You're gonna love it.

    Again, huge hugs and thanks,

You're welcome of course. Looking forward to Ari's punishment; it's fiction, but we know there are real animals like that wearing human skin. My last two characters of note, Michael Moran and now Rusty Clayton fit right in there with your Ari. Just take a look at the Fox News headlines any day of the week and any one of those three men will be there -- for real. they're far worse than any money-motivated criminal by a country mile.

I loved this post. And I am working on my little dachshund on sitting on command. I swear big dogs are easier to train, at least I think so. You have another well written post.

Just don't ask him to sit up and beg! It's hard on dogs with long spines! Corgies and certain breeds of terriers have the same problem.

I love those little guys, such neat faces!

Thanks so much for the great comments.

I just want him to sit. Hid eyes beg enough. LOL He's overactive and I just want him to sit on command. My big yellow lab would heel whether she was leashed or not. Every time I came to a corner she would sit until I gave her the heel command.

So romantic and well written then the hook at the end, wonder who is at the end of the phone call? Have me wondering until I read the next chapter. Well written

I wonder who is on the other end of the line. Very few people know that she's in LA, but maybe Edward is calling to warn her that Ari knows she's there. Guess we'll have to wait and see. I'm so glad that Rex is there, and so is Brad. Great chapter, again.

The last line tends to make me nervous. I sure hope there's isn't a reason that can't take care of the dog. God loves you and so do I.

We're about to drop another gear, hope it doesn't get too far fetched. I'm finally getting a handle on Brad - took forever. I'm gonna have to do a major rewrite on his character, he's kinda 'wooden' to me, but that'll change.

    Thanks for the great comments,

It is hard to imagine a better set up for the inevitable crash to earth than you've given us here, Annabelle. With all the bases covered, Rex and his gods are all settled in for a 'happily ever after' when...Oh Crap! the phone rang.

Hey Freddie, lookee there, a sixer. Wow, thanks so much.

I've finally gotten hold of this story, and wait until you see what I do to Ari. Lol, fun stuff.

    Guess who's on the phone!

    Thanks and Big Hugs,

If it's not Rudy, something is about to hit the fan. He's the only one who know where they are.
