Smiles Brooke you are so right-

find the nearest smiling face,
for there lives life in all its grace.
there is happiness.
So smile

Your cadence in this is perfect. I enjoyed the positive message in this excellent poetic verve as well. This was just a great piece of poetic artistry to have read and responded to... John

This is another cute Rispetto poem with Sawyer having red frosting on his face. Looks like an he has an awfully big cupcake for a little fellow. Bet he made sure he ate the frosting first. Maybe he ate part of the cake.

Good poem, Brooke. I have no suggestions.

Beautiful message. A kind and uplifting smile is worth a thousand gifts indeed. Very nice poem with a lovely picture of Sawyer joined.

Kind regards

The best in life lives closer by
than lofty heights where eagles fly.
Just find the nearest smiling face,
for there lives life in all its grace.

A lovely poem, Brooke, and the words so true...
and what a picture!!

A mystery many never solve. The presence of God in a child's smile or giggle. The tenderness of our Father shown before you. Well done Sawyer, great photo. Blessings to you Grandmother.

I love the picture, and it adds great warmth and humor to your poem. The moral truth in this piece is overwhelming and the lines below is indeed a happy thought:
"Just find the nearest smiling face,
for there lives life in all its grace."

I love how children bury their faces nose first into frosting, it always brings a smile. Very nice job with this Rispetto. Nice flow, great rhyme.

Dear Brooke, this has such great wisdom threading through it. I loved it, pure and simple. Skilled write as always.
Thanks for sharing it. Cutie Pie looks like he is having a blast - icing - sugar rush - look out.

Gracefully crafted in abab rhyme, your message is always so inspiring and
heartwarming, Brooke. I love the way you have set the poem up in describing in a first of all the magnificent gifts that nature offers us, and then, as if using a zoom lens, you focus in on the familiar in our own backyards and homes that is endearing to us, the smiling faces of those we love, that greet us each day. I am glad I posted as a fan, and am notified of your writing so I can meet today with a smile. Thank you for sharing your wonderful talent.
