The perfection other than the writing is that when we get to the payoff lines we are doing exactly what the piece suggests, smiling. That makes the message so successful. I love the flow of this, and the change in rhyme in each stanza. It's always nice to read your poetry -- they each tell a story about the beauty within life, and all the things near and dear to our hearts. A smile is indeed the greatest gift. Take care.

This is such a lovely, upbeat thought. People don't have to travel to see glaciers and canons to experience life's greatest gift. As you say, it's there on that smiling face.
