The smiling face of a beloved grandchild, their warm embrace. These are the things that can make the worst day in your life seem really not so bad at all. You quickly learn what is really important in life. Thank you for the reminder.

Hi, Brooke:-)
"You'll Never Find" is a delightfully excellent poem in rispetto form. It meets the rhyme scheme requirements of
acbd aacc in first and second stanzas and the iambic tetrameter requirement. It has good rhyme and excellent figurative language and imagery (lofty heights where eagles fly)

Crikey! Red mud man. Loved your children's poem - nothing in the world can beat the smile of a child and the laughter that follows makes our hearts glad - children's laughter is light and lovely with no hint of greed or sorrow. Excellent.

Charming, sweet, delicious and full of wisdom. It's the simple things are important and wonderful. Oh, and I forgot to mention bounce in this whimsical and joyful ride. Smooth flow, easy rhyme, fine sound effects when read aloud. Just one question for you: would it be inappropriate star and sun as if they are proper names? They are personified in this shinning gem of a poem. I would like to know your thoughts but you are under no obligation. Just wondering....
Give you a six if I could. Guess it gets lost in the basis math I have to do just to prove I'm human. Nice poem with a warm and fuzzy feeling. Glad I stopped by today...

Life's greatest gift is in the simple, everyday miracles that keep us living, laughing and loving. We do tend to forget though and can't help but see something like a mountain as more awe inspiring. Have to stop and smell the roses in order to appreciate the smaller things.

Oh, I love this one,Brooke.
I was just thinking the same thing the other day when i was babysitting my grandchildren.
Have been all over the word ? but, couldn't say that I would rather be in Paris than to be just hugging my grandbabies. Did not expect to love them so much. Sigh ?..
Hugs, d

Diane, thank you, my friend :-) Yeah, you wait all your life to be a grandma and you've heard everyone talk about what a great experience it is, but you never really expect it to be quite this good :-) Brooke

This is excellent I sighed and said "aw" when I read it. Sweet words and delightful rhythm. You are so right. A smiling face on a child is the best gift of all.
