Yeah, we may never find what life is. Your philosophical subject is truly intriguing.
You'll never find life's greatest gift
in star's last wink nor sun's first kiss,
in glaciers slow nor rivers swift,
nor canyons wide, no none of this. [ good lines]

Pretty poem with the picture of a child, mouth smeared red something like from a strawberry cake. The author says one can not find life's gift further away from where you are...in glaciers or rivers or wide canyons or lofty heights where birds fly...just find the nearest smiling face "for there lives life in blissful grace." Congratulations. Dom

Too true, Brooke. Other than the cry of a new born child, there's nothing stirs the heart more than a smile from the innocent.

Simply beautiful. Your words always convey the most joyful sentiments.
Your rhyme is precise and the words flow with sweet rhythm, just like real poetry should.

How is it that Sawyer gets cuter with each picture I see? Great poem that gives us reasons to find one of the most best things in life in a smiling face. Loved reading this one, Brooke.
Smiles,

What a great picture. Will he ever laugh at this when he's sixteen and trying to impress a girl. It's true. In spite of nature's breathtaking beauty, it's a sincere smile that makes us feel good inside.

Spitfire, thank you so much :-) I have long since warned his mother that she better lock up all these embarrassing baby pics when Sawyer is a teen. LOL Brooke

It's a life well lived and priorities well sorted that allows for the consistent flow of such charming verse with such smooth, seemingly effortless flow. Yet another fine message well delivered by a well crafted verse.

A smiling face say so much, and evoke such a nice emotion. If it is from the Cute Little One, even more so. Thank you for sharing another gem.
