Only a poet can speak of artistry being evident in every living creature. As I read the poem my mind strayed to antelopes, hummingbirds, cats and swans. Then I understood what was meant by "living creature" not just human beings.

A powerful message, we all should make the realization that all of us are creative. Some more than others and it's wrong to stifle that creativity.

Very wise words Brooke. Everything created with love and expressing ourselves is a work of art, I totally agree.
Nicely done!

Awww, Brooe, yet again you amaze with your creative imagination, and it's so true - there is artistry within every living creature - of a sort...just wonderful! :)

Excellent photo of Sawyer once more. A Whitney to advertise his beautiful Valentine artwork. Who did he make it for? His friend perhaps?

Artistry
flows through the veins
of every
living creature.
Talent is
unlimited
when instinct is the teacher.
a lovey little poem, Brooke - has he been to play school yet and come home with the bottom of his feet and hands covered in paint? So good to encourage them early. M

Thanks so much, Margaret. He has been to some of his toddler classes where paint was around, but his main painting has been with his mom. She is so good with him :-) Brooke

ah, a drop off the old block. . .
nice simple piece here, with truth in it.
talent is unlimited if those who matter do not crush it. . .( I Know about this first hand - my mothers critique of my first story almost stopped me forever and I was just 6)
as usual, the picture is adorable

Petriesan, thank you so much :-) You totally understand what I'm saying. I always wonder how many children stopped painting or writing or singing, whatever, because an adult told them they couldn't do it. Brooke

me too, I wonder that. But maybe it is those who need to who keep on? I pray that is it

Hard to argue with a proverb so artfully exposed to us in this poem of a celebrated child as well as her loving parents and talented grandma of shining beauty.

So true, the talent is what the parents job is to bring out but it is the inner desires that make it all come true.
good thoughts.
and yes I have a drawer of stuff that she will go nuts when I get it all in a massive scrap book and give it to her probably on her 35th birthday.

A lovely poem. Talent has to be encouraged. That is the best thing we can do for the children. Love and nurture them. Best wishes my friend.
