Pretty profound thinking Brooke. Good rhyming. I am afraid I don't know what a Whitney poem is. Just know that the message is worth pondering, and I wish I had more of the instinct you talk about. As usual Sawyer steals the visual show.

Loved your observations in this poem, so true, we have 12 grand-kids, and there is ALWAYS something on the fridge! Happy Valentines Day!

Quite lovely as always Brooke , I enjoyed the art work as usual and reflect on the joy of my grandchildren drawing and finger painting on their parents walls. Nice DonandVicki.

Sweet Whitney with a nice midpoint and ending rhyme and a good message, too.
I didn't even contemplate taking art when I was at school because I couldn't draw - now I see art classes that offer so many more avenues and I have developed my own creativity, so your words ring true.

That's exactly what I'm talking about. When kids are Sawyer's age everything they produce is appreciated, but by elementary school far too many kids have been convinced they lack talent. I can still remember which couple of kids in my elementary classes were the "artists" and which were the scholars and which the athletes, etc, and the vast number who were just stuck in the middle, convinced they had little to offer. Thanks so much, Steve. Brooke

Thank you Brooke, I certainly display hundreds of them. Creativity
is true freedom. So I love your very wise words in this excellent poem
and the joy of looking at Sawyer expression as he creates. Pili

Brooke, this is a pithy write clothed the guise of simplicity. I enjoyed the line Talent is unlimited when instinct is the teacher. So very true! :0 GracieAnn

You open the avenue of my memory bank thinking how I started one of my sons off into art. Like your poem, he showed the talent. Today, he is a graphic artist in Reno NV. Thanks again for a lovely poem. Blessings to you and Sawyer.

Yes, I agree, Brooke, BUT (yes but) talent can also be guided or fine-tuned so that it achieves it's best expression, by the right teacher. (At least, I hope it can!)
Lovely poem, again.
Thanks for sharing.

Brooke, this is so very cute. The picture reminded me of my son when young enjoyed nothing more than dragging out all my pots and pans, a spoon or two, and then banging them together repeating 'kook, kook This would entertain him for hours, until I couldn't stand the noise anymore. Cute poem and pix. Take care, my friend~Debbie

I suggest your daughter just invest in albums or making go to a printer and make a real book, so that the future daughter in law can spend time sharing these precious memories.
