Good whitney structure 3-4-3-4-3-4-7
Sawyer is not only showing off his skill in art but also as a professional model.
Your statement is very profound--
Talent is
unlimited
when instinct is the teacher.

Great picture. What a beautiful Whitney! A simple, but strong message. Talent is desire, and no one knows what that can do. Three thumbs up for instinct! Les

This was an enjoyable read, Brooke. I liked the message and the way the piece was formatted. Nice job and keep up the good work.

As one who has a love for art, I can truly say that everyone has their own talent - you just have to have a good eye. My student two years ago drew a picture of a dolphin for me. It looked nothing like a dolphin but it was blue and I saw a circle which he said was the hoop the dolphin jumps through. Where was the dolphin? I don't know where it was on the page, but it was in his imagination. If the imagination says there is one, then there is - I can feel it! Great job!

ILovePoetry, thank you so much. I'm so glad you understand just what I'm saying. I hate that so many teachers convince kids as young as elementary school ages that they are not the talented ones, the smart ones, the special ones. How many ten year olds "know" they are the average, uninteresting students stuck in the middle of the pack. Brooke

The Cute Little One has so many talents :) The art that he creates will be special for many years to come. This is very well written. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you, Linda. Miranda tells me he was in a very grumpy mood this morning and that picture occurred in the one five minute period he decided to chill out. LOL Brooke

can't believe Sawyer could ever get grumpy...that boy is always sooooooooo happy...LOL

My daughter would laugh and laugh at that. LOL
Today he was in a great mood but yesterday he spent three hours being a grump. He has learned the art of the fake cry. She posted a video of one of his attempts. It was so very fake it had me laughing off the chair. But when he decides to do it for a couple of hours, I guess the humor wears off. LOL

Brooke: as usual, the boy Sawyer looks confident in his own creativity and he will be equally confident when he leaves some paint on the floor because mom will clean it up! Lovely, cute and smile provoking. Linda

Yor poem conjures up an image of all the pictures and painting I used to decorate the frig door with. These are things worth keeping, in a scrap book perhaps. It's interesting to see how the artwork develops over time.
