Such a cute poem. Yes I hate those pesky insects! Your presentation was good. Your imagery painted such a great picture. Good flow, rhyme, and rhythm.Angel blessings

Hi friend glad you came along after I added more verses to it hehe. Thanks for the lovely review. I mentioned Bullants or Bull Joe's to someone a lot bigger than these little annoyances. Mainly down on our South East coast in the black sand they are. Cheers.

Ants - now that's a subject we can all relate too and I'm very grateful that they have moved a little further south for a change.Lol.
Well written and a fun look at the antics of those pesky little ants.

Hahaha. I've had them everywhere but this place I am at now. All my neighbors have them too. I don't know why they are not here and I'm not going to ask them. A cute piece. Perfect rhyme and flow. Well done, mikey

This is clever. We have ants outside, but haven't had a problem with them getting inside. Excellent rhyme. Using the old expression "ants in your pants" adds to the interest. I suppose you've tried different products to try to get rid of them. Excellent artwork choice. judi

Hi Lorraine is it? Not met you before. Thanks for the review. My wife gets really upset if I leave food or dirty plates in the wrong place to attract them. They come in behind our kitchen sink mostly so she leaves washing water in one sink and rinsing in the other that helps.

Ants are like the bumble bee who is not designed to fly, but can.. They are not physiologically built to be strong, but can lift several times their own weight.

This is cute. those pesky ants! They go for water and we've had them in the upstairs bathroom. We finally had the city cut down some of the tree branches and now we don't hardly see them. they were the big black ones! LOL Miss Sally

Sounds like you live in Australia, they can be a real problem here! A very well written and descriptive narrative, about one of the most annoying pest afflictions one can have! It flows nicely off the "pen". I like the rhyme scheme ababbcb, is it a regular poetic form? Well done with this one! Blessings, Roy.

Hi Roy not sure if it is a regular poetic form. I don't go looking for them. However I did look to see if I could put it in for a competition but could not find a suitable spot for it.
Yep Aussie is right we are klm East of Penrith in NSW. As I say to people when they inquire, with flick of wrist and snooty accent..."Oh...we live in the Eastern Suburbs....OF PENRITH!" Yeah I think they are looking for water as another reviewer said they seem to come out in the bathroom or in the kitchen around the sink area. Not sure we have met good to see some more Aussies around. Check my stuff maybe we have other things in common huh!
-
I'll check it out. The people seem to mostly North American. I guess they outnumber us. Your poem reminds me about one, I have written, called "Dust". cheers, Roy.

Thanks for the website tip. Is Sankey your name or is it a non-de-plume (Pen name) You must be a songwriter. 1 or two of the poems in my portfolio were originally song! Good to meet you brother! Blessings, Roy.

Hi Bro my e-mail address is sankey48@yahoo.com.au a friend asked me what Hymn 48 was in Sankey's Hymnal haha. He thought I was meaning to quote that hymn number quite a sad hymn actually hehe. I was 48 when I got the e-mail and my real name is Geoffrey Moore and not the song writer or artist but I have composed several caro9ls and some songs about my Public Servic employment days. Words of and a Midi file for all the music is in my Biography or in the "Book of Poutry" or My Really Truly Christmas Carols Book" all on FS, Bro All still unpublished sadly.

Thanks for the prompt reply I've recorded several studio songs with 2 albums and some demos, 36 songs in all! But I also like writing poetry, ( As do you, obviously ) I only joined this site a few weeks ago, I am enjoying it a lot! ( Addictive )blessings.

It sure is by the way here is the church site I run . Not a real professional place not getting any help and not a professional web designer. www.nepeanbaptist.org If you look for the Carols and Songs page my own carols on there I got sick and tried of the garbage they put up at Christmas on the Victorian Royal Blind Society Carols by candlelight nothing to do with the real Christmas Message. If you can find it let me know.

How funny is this. The little rhyme reminds all of us of those retched littler critters warring against our tender skin at some time or other. Fire ants came to mind for me.

Not sure we have fire ants unless our Bull Ants or Bull Joe's the big ones used to be around the Australian South East Coast area in the black sand?? Thanks for the great review more verses coming probably from some of the ideas of other reviewers hehe.

Most welcome

Year before last we had a zillion of those little sugar ants, they were every where, even in the pets food. Good poem. God loves you and so do I.

Oh yes as I said someplace else I get into big trouble for leaving the plates in the wrong place after supper or tea as we call it here. It takes no time at all for the ants to find any little crumb or food particle and tell all their neighbours! HEHE!! More verses coming I reckon! Thanks Sis good of you to drop by. Lot of Bros and Sisters in here and even more Aussies as well! Lord Bless.
