I was convinced you had written this as a way of escaping the guilt! Now I am not so sure. I had a feeling something like this was going to happen when I constantly saw new writing by you messages in my inbox. You didn't seem to let up for sleep even. And, I am probably right. You are a great writer and you don't want to burn yourself out. I am content to post a poem every few days and hope that I get some reviews. You could find a publisher to publish your works and then maybe some financial reward-real dollars. This is a good piece of writing, whoever wrote it and it will maybe bring other comments from other writers who will agree that you should take a break and take your wife out. Faye

I take her out. We needed paper for the printer and she made me go with her. And last week she made me go with her to walk the dog. Hahaha. I am glad you found this to be fun. It was fun to write. I never burn out. People have been worried about that all my life. I always have written a lot. It just relaxes me and keeps me out of trouble! I hope to get published and I am starting to look into it. That is a whole new world. mikey

I didn't mean to offend you or accuse you of neglect! I was just worried in case you were overdoing it! I am glad you took a trip to the stationer's and went out with the dog! People say to me, why don't you have a telly (TV in US English)- I always reply, "I don't have time"-which is quite true! I am revising my whole book, so when my next one is published I will include a few of the revised ones, as they are definitely better. Try to have a relaxing weekend. Faye

Oh, I wasn't offended. I was just playing. My telly is on all the time, but I don't pay attention anymore. That is so exciting to be revising to publish! Actually, this is relaxing. The real world not so much. Hahaha. You have a great weekend too. mikey

Mickey, you need to take a step back. Take your wife out for dinner & a movie. You are feverishly posting to the point where I think your head will fly off your hunched shoulders. I know they're hunched because you're in front of a computer screen all the time. For the love of a God, take a break!

Seriously, a very funny write!

Hahaha. I just took my temperature and it is normal. So, I am okay. I saw the Hunchback of Notre Dame and he seemed rather well liked. I think it is a good sympathetic look. At my age, sympathy is a good ploy. Okay, I took a break. I'm back now. What did I miss? Glad you liked this. What kills me is that this gets ten times the response that something I slave over for hours does. HAhaha. What a world. mikey

Your writing improves when you write about your life. Perhaps you are a memoir writer(?). I am under the influence of wine as I write this. But maybe you are suited best for writing about your life. Sometimes the writing that is " natural" is the best stuff.

Very good post. I'm sure there are many FS orphans who feel the same.

I was in Lancaster for six months a couple years ago on a project out at Edwards. Far too hot, dry, and dusty for me.

Suggestions:
Why a man my husband's age is still called "Mikey"[,] has always been a mystery to me. [Delete comma]

The problem is that he now does nothing, but sit at his computer and "Fanstory". ["Fanstory." Periods and commas always go inside all the "s}

I don't know what it means exactly to "Fanstory", but
["Fanstory," Ditto]

There are other misplace periods and commas but I didn't feel it was necessary to list each one.

Tell the wife: "Good job!"

It is too hot and dusty, a perfect description. Thank you for the punctuation tips. I am terrible at it. This is the vastly improved me too! Glad you enjoyed this. I will pass the message along!

I think my husband would identify with a lot of what your wife has written, but I must say your wife knows quite a lot about poetry, maybe she should join.
I enjoyed reading it especially the 3am, as I am guilty of either staying up late, or getting up early.

Well done to your significant partner, possibly a future fan of FS

The getting up early. Forgot that. Yep, so true. All the over seas reviews that may have come in and contest votes over night. Who can wait? HAhaha. But, we're okay. Glad you liked this and could relate.

Half the people think my wife wrote this. Hahaha. They feel sorry for her. I have her tied to a chair doing reviews. MUST MAKE FANSTORY DOLLARS.....POST MORE....BECOME LION!!!! You are right though, this is not too far from the truth!! Glad you and your wife got a laugh out of it. Wouldn't you know it, this gets a much better response than my serious writing that I sweat over for hours!!! mikey

Is neither of you were in your stay-at-home couple and I could see how it could unravel you so. My wife works done today which gives me a chance to work on fan story only three hours a day. I've always enjoyed writing especially songs for my profession. I'm a professional songwriter, So poetry is not To bring any indifference from my wife. But I can see where it can get a little odd a hand for some people if they spend their entire time working on FanStory For an ungodly time. There is a limit to everything. I do find it an honor and a public service to the rest of the fanstorians to review those fans that I'm entitled to review their work.
Michael is a very in-depth and dedicated writer and I can see that through his writing. If you can't beat them join them. Help women his enjoyment work with him. Feel the enjoyment a lot of us do. Just a suggestion. Good luck Michael. Thank you for posting and may you and yours be blessed.

We have always worked together, having a business and now working with mentally ill people. So, we are used to a 24 and 7 relationship. Fanstory has been a great experience for me. No one has ever read my work before. It also encourages me to write regularly which I don't without a little push. Appreciate the in depth insights and review. Thank you so much. Many blessings to you, mikey

You are oh sincerely welcome Mikey. I'm so glad you're working with the mentally ill. When I was in college I spent two semesters working with handicapped children in the mentally ill in one semester working with the blind. After that I help the blind when I could and also the handicap impaired.

Just one more thing Mikey, I think we have a lot in common. I write music and play five instruments and professionally have played on stage in front of thousands people. We both work with the handicapped and we both enjoy FanStory. Coincidences!!!

Congratulations on the Lion status. I don't think anyone but a Fan story member would understand. I feel the same way about the stars. You have been spending a lot of time on your writing. It has shown. Your writing has been excellent. Give the wife a break and spend some time with her. The lion king can do more than pound keys to keep his title. Great work. It was a fun read. The Mrs. may give you some competition.

I don't usually review stories but this caught my attention. Mrs Mikey, he could have worse habits than spending too much time writing or reviewing on FS but I can certainly see how frustrating it could be for you. Compromise and ask him to give up at least one day a week to do the things you want him to do. Good luck:)

Do you really think we believe your wife wrote this?
It is very amusing Michael.! (Did you ever notice I use Mike or Michael when I address you?) I agree with your wife. Miky is a kids Name. The Assonance remark was funny. You are a caution. LOL Nancy

You'd be surprised how many people think that this was written by my wife. I know I am!! They started calling me Mikey when I was five and for some reason they never stopped. It is silly, I know. It delights me that you think I am a "caution"!! Michael

There probably is!! It really is addictive, all kidding aside. I don't think I have ever been so committed to any endeavor in my life. If I ever gave this much effort to a job I would probably be rich. Hahaha. Glad you enjoyed it. Mrs. Mikey

It was for me like that years ago, I am in FS 11 years, now is not obsessive at all, I was second in poetry, that ambition disappear , but enjoy many friends, reading and writing at a calm pace... I did understand how you feel now, LOL, enjoy . Pili
