This is a fine poem indeed!
But it is not with the rules of the contest. The rules of the contest states 5-7-5. I even checked the rules as I was reviewing to be sure of what to do, but yours is completely out of it. I can only think this was done by an error.
But the poem is really good, that was why I gave it a four.

Quite intriguing piece and a decent read. I liked the helplessness and "grasping at straws" effect the writer portrayed...or MAYBE this was a personal stamp. However, you did not (in ANY WAY) follow the prompt for this 5-7-5 entry. I would strongly encourage you to proofread your work. There were a cpl misspellings and misused words. I hope the criticism is received in the helpful manner that's intended. Thanks for the share!
